About Wong's Kitchen
Wong's Kitchen is a Chinese takeaway at 3 Lincoln Way in Beverley, run as a counter-only operation with no eat-in option. The kitchen changed hands in 2025, and the menu includes salt & pepper wings, crispy beef and chow mein. Customers who once needed cash can now pay by card, since the shop no longer takes cash only. It opens in the evenings only and closes on Tuesdays. Orders are placed at the counter for collection, and sweet and sour is also on the menu.

Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers who ordered since the new management took over praise generous portions and tasty food, with several calling it good value for money. Diners describe the food as fresh and full of flavour, and the friendly, polite front-of-house staff come up repeatedly. One reviewer got a free bottle of drink and prawn crackers, and another notes cards are now accepted. The recurring complaint is a drop in quality. A long-time customer of 15 years found the crispy beef soggy and the satay skewers oily, and said the recipes seemed different, though management called to apologise and the reviewer raised their score. Another reviewer describes a delivery that arrived lukewarm and an hour early, with rice tasting of msg, a curry too thick to pour and thin, tasteless sweet and sour. A third found the Thai green curry watery and bland. One happier customer felt the salt and pepper wings were too salty, and the close is a free bottle of drink and prawn crackers handed over with the order.

“Absolutely nothing like a Thai curry, watery, bland. At least I know where not to come next time I go to Beverley races. The last pic is what a Thai green curry looks like, for reference....”

“We’ve ordered from this takeaway three times now and will definitely order again in the future. The food tastes great and the portions are really good value for money. The only thing we found was that the salt & pepper wings had a bit too much salt, so it would be great if they could use a little less. Aside from that, everything has been excellent. The customer service is also really good — everyone is friendly and polite.”

“One of the tastiest Chinese we've had in a long time. Very good portion sizes. Had a couple of Chinese takeways around here but wasn't so good. This one was the best we've had. Gave us free bottle of drink and prawn crackers. Would highly recommend and will definitely return again.”
