Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the breakfast and brunch food, with the full breakfast and the hog spice tatties named for big portions, alongside coffee that several call great or excellent. Close behind is the children's play area, which families describe with play kitchens and play food, and the room is also described as dog friendly, with bowls and a cold sausage brought out for dogs. Brownies, cakes, iced caramel lattes and a Nutella hot chocolate also get praise, and the sandwiches are called fresh. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, with one regular saying they remember his order. The main complaints concern cost and waiting: one diner found the fry up overpriced and not as good as elsewhere, and says the cafe is always noisy, with a long wait for food when busy. Another reviewer was fine with a longer wait because staff had told them to expect it. One visitor also wanted to book by phone and found the chairs uncomfortable, though the wide spacing between tables suited a relative with a walker.

“This is a nice cafe with good coffee but the fry up could be a lot better for £16, the food there is a bit overpriced but it is a nice place to sit compared to some cafes, always noisy in there, when it’s busy expect to be sitting there for around 30mins before getting your food, overall you can get a nicer fry up elsewhere for less money”

“Great place to take kids and have a coffee at the same time! They have a set area for children, and great choice of menu. They also offer blue light discount”

“Lovely friendly staff, great food (especially the breakfasts!). Excellent coffee! Have been in a few times when visiting my Mum. She’s in her 80s and has a walker - the cafe tables are spaced out well, so she can manoeuvre round easily. Loses a star for not being able to book by phone (not all 80+ yr olds use the internet!) and the chairs aren’t the most comfortable in the world. But will be back for the lovely food (and it’s a convenient short walk for my dear old Mum!)”

“Came here Saturday morning, didn’t expect it to be so busy. Waitress found us a table, Was a wait on ordering but they was busy and said expect a longer wait time which was communicated so was fine. We had the full breakfast great quality food and iced caramel lattes was lovely, High recommend.”
