About Artisan Ribble Valley
Artisan Ribble Valley is a modern British restaurant on Whalley Rd in Clitheroe, attached to the Foxfields hotel. The kitchen builds its menu around locally sourced produce from independent Ribble Valley artisan producers, which gives hotel guests and other diners a restaurant on site with a regional focus. The menu runs to 65 dishes, with starters such as Deep Fried Brie and Cajun Spiced King Prawns alongside Homemade Soup. Pizza and pasta share the menu with British plates like fish and chips served with mushy peas, bread and butter and gravy. Sticky toffee pudding and Pimm's trifle appear among the desserts. Afternoon tea is served, and cocktails are available at the bar. Reservations are required.

Customer Review Summary
The complaints are specific. One anniversary diner found the hanging chicken kebabs dry and unseasoned, with dry flatbread and little salad, and thought the burgers were neither true smash burgers nor properly meaty. That diner also found the waiter curt. Another reviewer met unavailable starters and a missing cocktail, and a third said a noisy coach party left staff regularly unavailable. One described the vegetables as indifferent.

“We visited for our wedding anniversary. Lovely environment and welcome. Our waiter was efficient but extremely curt throughout the evening. The food was very disappointing, we had the hanging chicken kebabs, the chicken was dry and unseasoned the flatbread was very dry and there was limited salad and dressing, that being said the fry’s were lovely. The burgers were described as smash burgers but were too thick for smash burgers but too thin for actual meaty burgers, the onion ring (singular) was delicious and again great fries. The best bit of our parties meal was the fish and chips which were lovely, crispy batter, amazing chips, bread and butter, mushy peas and gravy all lovely. This is our first visit and given the prices versus our disappointment we are unlikely to visit again.”

“Visited last night on cheap pizza/pasta night which is fantastic value and great quality. Service received from Lily was first class. The only thing that could improve the menu is offering custard with the Sticky Toffee Pudding; it should be compulsory!”

“We had the best pizza in ages. Tandoori chicken, mint, onion, rocket and to top it off pomegranate. Delicious. The Pimm's trifle was superb. Great value and really lovely attentive staff.”

“Celebrated a rare night away at foxfields hotel and ate twice in Artisan. The food was excellent, cocktails beautifully presented, interior is stunning too. Service is also top notch. Will 100% recommend to others.”
