About Due Amici
Due Amici is an Italian restaurant at 10-11 Royal Parade in Chislehurst, with white tablecloths and lobster on the menu alongside pasta, but no pizza. The extensive menu runs from cold and hot starters to chicken, beef, lamb, veal, liver, seafood and pastas, with scallops among the starters and osso buco among the veal dishes. Chips and spinach come as sides to share. Desserts are chosen from a trolley, and profiteroles are among them. Groups of 8 to 15 people can be seated, which suits larger celebrations. The restaurant opens Tuesday to Saturday and closes on Sundays and Mondays. Reservations are required.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the scallops, with the calves liver, oysters, veal and osso buco also named, the osso buco described as fabulously tender. Close behind is the dessert trolley, where profiteroles and tiramisu are mentioned, and one reviewer warns that the best desserts sold out late on a weekend. Service draws repeated praise as friendly and attentive, and large groups describe being accommodated, with one party saying everyone was served at the same time. The complaints carry real weight, though. One reviewer says the dishes and vegetables tasted frozen and reheated, another found the pasta not properly cooked after a slow wait, and a third called the veal milanese dry and the ribs tiny for the price. A pizza was described as having dough like a cheap frozen one, and at one table a missing starter had to be cancelled. Another group celebrating a birthday had the waiters sing Happy Birthday to the guest of honour.

“I visited Due Amici with my family, and unfortunately, we were disappointed. The service took a very long time, even though it didn’t seem especially busy. When the food finally arrived, my pasta wasn’t properly cooked, which spoiled the meal. For the prices charged, I expected much better food and faster service. Overall, it wasn’t a good experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it based on our visit.”

“Excellent restaurant, highly recommend! Traditional atmosphere, service very attentive and authentic. Food was really delicious and again very authentic. Clean pleasant restaurant and our dinner tonight was faultless. Pure class”

“Very poor pizza both- the dough was like a cheap frozen pizza and similar the ingredients. The dough didn't seem to have risen and ingredients not very tasty. Service was good and efficient and perhaps other dishes are better. Definitely wouldn't recommend the pizza.”

“You can do better with the food. If you’re looking for authentic Italian food, this is not it. Food is at best subpar or lower quality. Not good. I was expecting freshly made Italian food and fresh vegetables. Unfortunately food tasted like it was kept in freezer and reheated to serve and Veg was even worse, terrible. Definitely not fresh, tasted like food stored in freezer for quite a while and reheated. Won’t recommend and never going back.”

“This restaurant is nice, however there are alot of things that made me not want to come back. For starters i had the ribs which were £14. For £14 i expect a decent portion of ribs as they are cheap. However i go 4 tiny ribs, the sauce was lovely and so were the ribs however i dont care how nice ribs are im not paying £14 for 4 tiny ribs. I got the veal milanese for main course which i thought was dry and lacking flavour. The pasta on the side was nice however again very over priced. Moving on to the service, we did not receive a starter so we had to cancel it and one couple had to go without a starter, then we had to wait 5 minutes for some of our sides to come. The waiters are nice but some can be over the top and a little cocky. Simple mistakes let this place down topped with overpriced dishes.”
