  “Nice and quiet, food was hot and really good flavours and seasoned well. Drinks were really slow, but service was good overall. Had a nice anniversary plate, such a nice touch. Overall really nice experience.”

  “Came here for my birthday meal and it was amazing. We sat upstairs in the orchard area. First time sitting upstairs for me and I would 100% recommend it was beautiful. We had a bao bun each as well as a chicken sharer to start. I had the chicken skewers + 2 sides and my partner had a burger and an extra side of olives. I also had 2 mocktails and he had 2 pints. £85 which we thought was great value for the food we’d had. Would definitely go again. Our waitress was also very friendly and attentive. I think her name was Izzy.”

  “Honestly heard lots of good things regarding the hunloke arms and have been burnt before listening to the hype. Well let me tell you it did not disappoint and has certainly lived up to the hype. We had yakatori sticks for starters and they were beautiful. I regretted not ordering more than 3 of them between me and the wife. Mains I had the trio burgers which were absolutely beautiful. The wife had the chicken burger which she throughly enjoyed. Well done to the whole team. Not one issue at all. Beautiful all around. The 2nd anniversary dessert at the end was a beautiful addition Maybe a sign pointing to the extra parking space so it doesnt look like we're about to drive off a cliff haha!”

  “Myself and my partner visited the Hunlock arms a couple of weeks ago for a lunch date. We had seen pictures of the restaurant upstairs online and were suckers for a boujee dinner so we decided to make the 40 minute journey It was absolutely worth it! We came you’re early into lunch service so it was lovely and calm, we were seated upstairs under the cherry blossoms which are GORGEOUS and were given 5 star treatment. The menu is plentiful, with lots to choose from. I opted for the Yaki Udon and my partner one of the hanging skewers. Food came quickly and portions were very generous. The drinks selection is fantastic and it’s clear a lot of care and attention goes into their food. We didn’t have room for desert unfortunately, but we still left with a goody bag of sweets which was a lovely touch. We will definitely be returning, just wish we didn’t live so far away!”

  “We are staying in the Peak District for a week and had been to Matlock. My Wife found the pub using Google maps, as it had good reviews. Couldn't believe the size of the car park, it was huge. The pub was packed (it was a Sunday night). Service was very friendly and attentive throughout. Food was delicious. We shared Katsu chicken to start and were given 2 side plates so we could share, without us having to ask. We them both had pizzas. Such an amazing range of toppings and they were ginormous! I managed to eat all of mine, but my wife has half left over, which we were able to take home. Fantastic range of drinks including delicious looking cocktails. The interior decor was lovely and my Wife said that the toilets were gorgeous as well. There is one thing however, that I am REALLY disappointed in... We live 3 hours away, so might be some time before we can get to come back!”

  “The food, the atmosphere, the recognition of disabilities and the consistent level of customer service offered all make this place special. The team at The Hunloke Arms produce the most delicious food, using high quality ingredients with their Yakatori sticks and wood fired pizza being major crowd pleasers. They bend over backwards to helps customers with additional needs and disabilities, offering tables in convient spots to guarantee you can get in with your wheelchair, walking frame, crutches etc, they also try to meet sensory needs by seating you in quieter locations if possible. The team are just a joy to be around, especially Beth who was serving in the bar area when we called in. Beth's customer service is second to none. Beth made us feel welcome and she made my aunt's night with how kind and understanding she is. Callum was working his socks off behind the bar, making drinks, clearing tables, checking in with customers. We love the vibe, the food and the team, you should too.”

  “The Hunloke Arms is an exceptional local bar and restaurant. Beautiful building, wooden beams and the ceiling,both upstairs and downstairs is decorated with cherry blossom, including a cherry blossom tree which you pass as you go upstairs. There's also an equally nice outside dining area/beer garden. I went with a small party of people, we were greeted and signed in as we entered, then shown to the bar. We went to the spacious upstairs restaurant, immaculate and well laid out. We had starters,a main course, followed by desert. The menu is modern and continental. The place was quite busy but we didn't wait too long for our food. Our meals were excellent and beautifully presented. The staff were all attentive, polite, warm and friendly. Our waitress was outstanding. I highly recommend The Hunloke Arms for it's meals, the bar,surrounding and it's staff,if you're looking for somewhere impressive, this is the place to go.”

  “Comfy, Cozy, Warm, and the food was AMAZING! Really affordable prices, we tried to smash £100 between 2 of us for the meals and we were that full and satisfied we managed £80 (we both had 2 starters, 2 drinks, the most expensive mains on the menu, and a dessert) it's safe to say the mains were cheaper and far superior to some takeaways we've had! We're both confident in saying it would cost less for us to come to Hunloke and get a nice meal, than to buy a takeaway and pay £6 for delivery. And you get better atmosphere, and friendly staff! What more could you want? 10/10! Will deffo be back instead of a takeaway from now on ❤️🌸”

  “Wow what a fantastic place. 6 of us went for a birthday meal. Food was fantastic, staff were fantastic and our waitress Emily was amazing, so friendly and welcoming. We love the blossom and lanterns hanging from the ceiling. Christmas decorations also with lots of naughty elf on the shelf hiding allover. Great prices and many different food options. So many cocktails alcoholic an non alcoholic. You get to keep the rubber duck too. Beautifully lit up area outside with blankets to keep you warm. We will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend a visit. Only downside is there's no toilets upstairs, you have to go downstairs and across the restaurant. Otherwise it's perfect 👏👏 well done everyone 👏👏❤️”

  “Fantastic experience. Food was exceptional. Service, especially from Grace and Poppy, was first class. Decor was lovely, as was the atmosphere. My second visit here, and hopefully won't be the last. We sat upstairs in the restaurant and we were made to feel very welcomed. Great selection of food on the menu. Very pleasant evening”
