Customer Review Summary

Breakfast cobs are the main draw at this small sandwich shop, with one reviewer calling theirs the best in the area after colleagues recommended it, and another saying they have only sampled the cobs and found them great. Close behind, a b.e.s.t and a bacon sandwich are described as lovely and fresh, with the bacon just slightly too salty for one taste. Others praise the raspberry ripple doughnuts and banana caramel cakes as sweet, with icing on top. Good value comes up repeatedly, along with friendly staff and a welcoming feel, and several call the food lovely and great for a small cafe. The criticism is specific. One reviewer found the sausages in a sausage and tomato cob cheap and nasty, though the tomatoes were fine. Another found the tuna salad sandwiches unpleasant, with a dry large roll, tuna that tasted of egg, and only white bread available, though the salad was fresh. Several reviewers say they will return, one saying they won't go anywhere else.

“Paid £9.70 for two tuna salad sandwiches. Had to have white bread, as no brown/wholemeal available. The large bread roll was dry, tuna tasted of egg. The salad was fresh though. It's a very rare thing for me not to finish a meal, let alone a sandwich, but this was just unpleasant.”
