  “Called at Birdcage for lunch. Wasn't acknowledged when I first came in, staff carried on with their conversation. Eventually ordered a chicken ciabatta with no tomato. My food was brought only to find a tuna melt! Called the girl over to point out her mistake. She told me I had ordered the melt. Pointing out I never mentioned melt and don't eat tuna, that I asked for the chicken with no tomato. The melt doesn't even come with tomato! The girl then said there was a miscommunication, (meaning that she wasn't taking responsibility for bringing out the wrong order!) Must say that this was the driest food I had ever eaten and had to order a second coffee to help it down. After that I got a frosty reception. This was a shame as I had eaten here several times before.”

  “Went for Lunch with my friends at the Birdcage, was greated by Phoebe who sat us down to the table. And provided us with Food menus. was then greated with Naomi who gave us our drinks. both girls were lovely and had a very friendly atmosphere to them which made us all feel comfortable. One of my friends is Gluten Free and the menu provided loads of options for her to have. which is a great thing as we sometimes struggle with finding places were we can all eat. Overall, my experience at the birdcage was incredibly positive and i will definitely be re visiting”

  “Lovely place, staff were lovely (phoebe and Connie) food was really nice too! The only reason it’s 4 stars not 5 is I felt there could of been a few more mushrooms on the garlic mushroom dish, we did say this and it was took well by staff though😊 lovely place to sit out in the sun!”

  “What a fantastic dog friendly cafe this is! We visited with our dog on a Sunday lunchtime. I had booked a table in advance for 3 people and our medium sized dog. We were shown to a table in the window. Our dog settled down on the floor and we looked over the menu. A young lady came over to take our order. We went for 2 x steak & Stilton paninis and 1 x bacon & Brie panini, 1 x side of cheesy chips and 1 x Parmesan & truffle oil chips. All of the food was fresh, tasty and delicious. Nothing disappointed. I can certainly recommend the bacon & Brie panini 😋 The cakes looked amazing but we were too full to have any of them. We will definitely be visiting here again and will try the cakes!”

  “Absolutely loved this place! The full English breakfast was fantastic – perfectly cooked and really satisfying. The coffee was excellent too, easily the nicest I have had . The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the service was impressively quick. Such a lovely atmosphere all round. Ill definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great breakfast!”

  “Just had breakfast at Birdcage this morning and it was spot on! ☕️🍳 Great atmosphere, friendly staff and really good quality food. Everything came out fresh and well presented and the service was quick even though it was busy. I went for the Greek yoghurt bowl with granola and fruit which was really nice and refreshing, and the rest of the food looked just as good. Definitely one of the better breakfast spots around. If you’re in the area and fancy a good breakfast or coffee, it’s well worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back! 👌”

  “We have a gentleman’s breakfast club every Friday and visit most places every week. I must admit this has by far been our most enjoyable one so far. Atmosphere was perfect, comfy surroundings and most of all great coffee and breakfast. As soon as we asked for anything the lovely waitress accommodated to us straight away. 100% coming back next Friday”

  “Went this afternoon for a celebration, was absolutely amazing afternoon tea style food. Been here a couple times, which we really enjoyed and decided we must come back. Special mention to Gareth, the chef there who was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond to make sure the experience was memorable for us, and the quality and array of food he came up with was so amazing, everything was delicious. He and the whole team made it so special and memorable for us, and particularly for the bride who is getting married in a few weeks. Couldn’t thank everyone more for making the experience so lovely for us all ❤️”

  “A lovely place to come and celebrate occasions. Always feel so welcomed with a friendly atmosphere. Good quality homemade food (the breakfast is the best). Wonderful for some relaxed drinks. Cocktail specials on at Halloween & other events. Staff make sure the dog always gets a treat too.”
