  “There really aren't enough compliments I can bestow on this place. The staff are excellent, the food is absolutely next level and reasonably priced. We booked on a whim as we'd been at Diggerland all day (don't ask!) and I can honestly say it was one of the best whims ever! (The best one led to the birth of my son lol). The selection of drinks was excellent. And the food...oh my god!! I ordered the fillet steak and can honestly say it was by far the best I've ever had! It was that good I'd have happily booked a hotel room with it... Cooked to perfection The deserts are also next level, we both had the cheesecake and again absolute perfection. If you haven't been...you have to... P.s it's the only time I've ever asked a waitress to swear at the chef for me. "Please tell the chef that was the best f**king steak I've ever had" Amazing place and we will most certainly be back”

  “First time visiting here, the food was beautiful, atmosphere was great and the space outside is gorgeous, will definitely be back. Thank you to our 2 waiting ladies I believe one was Claire and not sure of the young girl but both were so polite and lovely, hats off to the chef.”

  “The Twisted Tree is easily one of my favorite spots. The attention from the staff is always amazing; they are so welcoming and attentive every time I visit. On top of the great service, the food is consistently high quality—fresh, delicious, and clearly made with care. It’s the perfect combination of a lovely atmosphere and excellent standards. Highly recommended!”

  “Really impressed with The Twisted Tree. We went for brunch and the breakfast menu was excellent. I had the steak and eggs with black pudding, and it was spot on. Great quality, proper filling, but still felt like a decent high-protein option rather than a greasy breakfast. The hash brown was genuinely one of the best I’ve had. Tea came in a pot, which I always appreciate, and my partner really enjoyed her brunch as well. Service was friendly from start to finish. We were welcomed properly on the way in and even acknowledged by the chefs and staff on the way out, which was a nice touch. The place has a rustic, down-to-earth feel and doesn’t have that overpriced Leeds brunch spot vibe. For two meals and drinks it came to around £46, which felt fair given the quality, especially with steak on the order. Only minor things: parking can be a bit of a faff, and tips are cash-only, which is a shame for the staff. Would definitely go back. If you want a proper good brunch without heading into Leeds, this is well worth it.”

  “Great experience from start to finish. The food was well presented and clearly made with care. Starter was packed with flavour — soft bun, well-seasoned chicken, and a really good balance from the pickled veg and creamy sauce. Steak for the main was cooked properly with a solid sear, juicy inside, and the sides were exactly what you want — crispy chips, decent onion rings, and a rich peppercorn sauce on the side. Proper comfort food done right. Dessert topped it off nicely. Light, layered, and not overly heavy, which was a good way to finish after a filling main. Service and atmosphere were spot on as well. Would definitely come back.”

  “First time I have visited for Sunday lunch and it will not be the last. The enormous Yorkshire pudding is the first thing you notice but everything else on the plate is also delicious (even though hidden from sight) would highly recommend. Our waitress was also lovely, friendly and attentive.”

  “Been here a few times now after discovering its not far from my house and I never knew about it! Had the Sunday lunch which was one of the best I’ve ever had I couldn’t get over how amazing it tasted! We also attended for a wine tasting evening which was the best value for money & most gorgeous food and wine in a perfect setting. The staff are always so friendly and service is top tier. So glad to have found a new place I will be visiting non-stop!”
