  “Ordered hoisin duck pancakes and beef satay. Was really lovely, great quantities of food, super rapid service, food was given to us as soon as we'd arrived, only 10 minutes after ordering online. Would recommend as a good local takeaway!”

  “Just had sweet & sour chicken delivered for my son & myself . Hands down the Worst one we’ve ever had , literally went straight in the bin . Coating on chicken was slimy & didn’t taste right - absolutely disgusting 🤮 Phoned to complain only to be told that’s how they do it . Save yourself the bother & go elsewhere!”

  “First time ordering from here. Crab claws were gorgeous, sauces a very generous size, lovely lady on the phone. Everyone is full up and can’t eat any more as we’ve been busy all day and no time to cook. Prawn crackers divine and we have still have left overs from four of us. Soup absolutely lovely. Thank you so much! Usually I don’t like Chinese but I really wanted to try crab claws and found them on google. I’ll definitely be back as a lot of dishes sound great but couldn’t order everything at once! Dad had a MASSIVE plate of food which I didn’t picture but it was HUGE. Free spring rolls too! Cannot fault this place, they are happy to fix any problems too which was great. 5/5 on everything 🤗 will be back soon 🍤”

  “Probably ordered 4 or 5 times from this place started well. Last 2 times taken over 2 hours each time not even a sorry on arrival. They also turned their phones off so you are not able to contact them. Its defo not worth ordering”

  “This is the best Chinese take away ever!!! Me and my partner get food from here on a regular basis and within 3+ years that we have been ordering from Lucky Chef we have never been disappointed. The food it’s always warm, the taste it’s just unbelievable and the staff it’s lovely.”

  “Terrible. Ordered at 19:00. Food did not arrive for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Called for updates and Lucky Chef just made up delivery times. "10 minutes", "another 12 minutes". All lies. Food turned up cold. I added a £4.50 (15%) delivery tip to my order and for what? Absolutely appalling service.”

  “The Lucky Chef’s salt and pepper box at £25.98 arrived sloppily presented in a pizza box (🤷🏻‍♀️), greasy, overcooked and a partly stale mess. It bore very little resemblance to the photo on their online menu. I had chosen (as part of a double order with a friend) what I thought would be a nice treat and a showcase of what the restaurant had to offer. I was wrong. I have not eaten a Chinese meal for a few years and what a shoddy reintroduction this was to Chinese cuisine. Shame on you, Lucky Chef.”

  “Ordered from here twice on Deliveroo and never been disappointed. Thought I’d have a look on google to see where exactly it was, and I’m shocked at the amount of bad reviews! Each to their own, and obviously different experiences, but the food we have had has always come piping hot, on time, delicious, with friendly service. Personally, I would highly recommend!”
