Customer Review Summary

Coffee drinks draw the most praise, with reviewers singling out a mocha, a flat white, an extra dry cappuccino and a raspberry iced mocha. Close behind are the savoury bites, namely a salmon and cream cheese bagel and a cheese and tomato croissant, plus a good choice of cakes. Several describe friendly, quick staff, and one reviewer with an olive oil allergy recounts a waitress rechecking a bagel after the computer showed none, then remaking it plain in a bread roll. Reviewers also mention loads of seating, a clean, calm and spacious feel, and recent redecoration. The complaints centre on value. One reviewer found a matcha latte tasted like tinted milk and an apple cinnamon scone had no noticeable apple, while another said a Christmas Crumble slice was no bigger than a teaspoon, and staff told them that is how it is cut, though other cakes were larger. One reviewer describes staff checking an allergen, rechecking, and replacing a bagel.

“Don't get the matcha latte here, it's just tinted milk and it's £5. I should have complained but it was busy and I couldn't be bothered. Zero matcha taste at all, might as well have been oat milk. Ironically I saw they have it Greggs right after for £3 and it was actually green. Apple cinnamon scone also had no noticeable apple and without any butter it would have been dry as a brick 😭😭😭 Edited to add photo. Ceremonial quality is great but if you don't use enough then it's pointless. Matcha is supposed to be green 🍵 😭 I've spent the last few years in Asia, and this couldn't even compare to the cheapest chain coffee store.”

“Would like to commend and thank waitress Anna. I have olive oil allergy. I wanted salmon and cream cheese bagel. The staff duly checked on the computer and found no olive oil. When I got to my table a young waitress Anna came across and told me she hadn’t been satisfied with the results so had rechecked including the bagel itself. Which indeed contained olive oil. She took the bagel away and remade a plain salmon and cream cheese in a bread roll. This was a superb initiative and dedication and I am extremely grateful for her caring attitude and good service. She saved me from becoming quite ill with this annoying allergy. Thank you Anna I’m very grateful.”
