Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the South Indian dishes, above all the dosas, with the masala dosa and keema dosa named alongside idli, mini idli and thosai. Thalis come close behind, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, and others mention lamb biryani, chicken 65, samosa chaat and paneer tikka. Portions are repeatedly called generous and prices reasonable, and several describe the staff as friendly and welcoming. The main complaints are small. One reviewer notes the restaurant can be busy and the food slow to arrive, and that a 10% service charge is added to menu prices. Another found the podi idli arrived without its chutney, and one aubergine curry was very spicy, though the diner had been warned when ordering. One diner asked for hot gulab jamun with vanilla ice cream on the side, a pairing not on the menu, and it was served.

“Very friendly staff who responded to all our requests promptly. Food was delicious. We ordered non-vegetarian Thali and Masala Dosa. Both were great and also of generous portions. It was quiet during lunchtime. Restroom facilities were good too. Overall, we had a good time for lunch. Will come again!”

“The food was amazing. We went for lunch and had chicken biryani, keema dosa, fried rice, butter chicken, and vegetable salad, all extremely tasty. The service was outstanding and the place was clean. If you want to park quickly, there is a three-hour free parking option available near tesco.”

“Absolutely wonderful experience at The Seven Stars! I ordered the mini idli, regular idli, thosai, and soup, and the taste was extremely good across the board. The food is authentic, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. On top of the fantastic quality, the prices are very reasonable. The staff were also wonderfully courteous and welcoming throughout our meal. Highly recommend! Lime tea with mint was awesome”
