Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the warm, friendly service, with several saying the owner and staff treated them like family. The food comes close behind, described as delicious and interesting with spices but not too hot. One diner praises a lamb sag that melted in the mouth, alongside chicken biriyani, garlic naan and onion bhajees. Another calls the bar snacks an Indian tapas meal and says the Gujarat menu feels subtly different from the usual Bangladesh Indian menus. A real ale from a local brewery, a very good house wine and a good choice of beer also get mentions. Others describe a lively bar, a sunny terrace, a buffet at a birthday party, takeaway, and the newly started Sunday roasts in English and Indian style. The only criticism is one reviewer wishing cheesecake were on the dessert menu. A party with dietary requirements found staff very helpful, and one table was offered a spoonful of two sweets to settle the digestion.

“Just about one of the best meals I've ever had! We had to eat early due to the dietary requirements of one of our party and they couldn't have been more helpful. And the food could only have been better with the inclusion of cheesecake on the desert menu (but that might just be me).”
