  “Went out for date night with the wife ,Excellent table service from Louise for our meal , We had the butchers block between us, well worth it. Couldn't manage desert after starters and all that steak. Nice Guinness too. Only gave 4 stars for atmosphere, we were sat in a corner where there was a table of around 12 lads shouting / swearing, when we just wanted some peace and quiet. The staff did deal with them, warning them a few times then asking some to leave . But not the restaurants fault .”

  “We visited on Saturday 20th June for an early Father’s Day meal. Prior to our visit, the restaurant sent reminder texts asking us to enter our car registration details into the booking system on arrival, which was a helpful touch. Our table was booked for 1pm and was ready on time. There were five adults dining, and as two members of our party were elderly and used walking aids, the booth we were initially allocated wasn’t suitable. I spoke to a waitress and asked if we could move to a different table, and she was more than happy to accommodate us. The table we were moved to was perfect and conveniently located near the disabled access. Three of us chose the lunchtime specials menu and all had the 8oz rump steak, while the other two ordered the salmon and the Dirty Burger from the main menu. The restaurant was busy, so there was a short wait for food, but we were well looked after by all the staff throughout our visit. Everyone also enjoyed a dessert, and these were just as good as the main courses. Overall, we had a fantastic experience. A big shout-out to all the staff, who were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. We can’t wait to visit again”

  “I treated my dad to a meal here yesterday afternoon. It was incredible. We both helped ourselves to the Limited Edition Father's Day 20OZ Serving Board and it was the best steak experience of my life! I pigged out with a second portion of fries and a side serving of beef brisket Mac 'n' Cheese. What a feast! The steak was all cooked to perfection and the mac was stunning. I was stuffed to the brim by the time I got to the mac but still ate it all. My dad was pleased. This was his first time at M&C and to quote him 2 bites into his rare fillet: "Where have you been all my life?" As a self named connoisseur of all things steak, he claimed that the fillet was the best he ever had, along with the Malbec he sipped on throughout. Fraya and the rest of the service staff did an incredible job of laughing at my dad's ridiculous attempts at being funny and I thank them personally for that. It is Father's Day weekend after all. He deserves to feel like a comedian for one weekend out of the year. We will be coming back. Bravo, Miller & Carter!”

  “Great meal with 2 course lunchtime offer at £18.95, bottled water was a bit expensive, had cheesy mushroom starter, burger for main, my wife had a steak sandwich. Lots of flavour, good portion size, good service, can't complain, just wished the price was a little bit lower but otherwise recommended 👍”

  “Declan Thanus was our server and was absolutely top notch! Went for my birthday with my fiancé and he ensured we was at ease plenty to drink, good food and great enthusiasm. Definitely would recommend! Even got a little birthday treat as seen below 😀”

  “Fantastic service from Kayleigh (her name on receipt hopefully the right person) she deserves a massive shoutout, she gave my grandad a cake for his birthday and even sung happy birthday to him with us! She was amazing, she was busy and still took the time to cater to every person! Food was great total for 5 of us was £123.90 for 2 burgers, 2 rumps, lobster Mac, baked Camembert, choc fondant, 1 cider & soda cordial. (Some photos are from the other time we came here)”

  “Had a wonderful wedding anniversary meal last night. Couldn't fault anything at all. ( apart from over eating 🤣) Millie W was our waitress, she was lovely and very helpful. The young man who brought the drinks was also really friendly. A thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. The food was exceptional and beautifully presented. Highly recommend and we will return.”

  “I visited Miller and Carter at Greenmount to celebrate passing my driving test, wanting to celebrate with family and enjoy a steak, although my experience was unfortunately a let-down. The interior is large and comfortable. I liked the exposed brick walls and outdoor seating area, which is ideal for a nicer day. I did find the privately owned car park to be a little strange, given there isn’t much else nearby, but parking is free for those dining here, and you can enter your registration when checking in; it costs £1 for 2 hours. The gluten-free menu was pretty good and had a wide selection of steaks and sides. I went for the Black Angus Ribeye, with fries, peppercorn sauce and the garlic mayo and gran padano dressing for my lettuce wedge. The steak was really tough, which shouldn’t be the case for medium rare, and I didn’t enjoy it, there were good flavours though, especially with the generous portion os fries and peppercorn sauce. The lettuce wedge just seemed a little weird, the sauces and flavours again were nice, but I’m not sure if garlic mayo was the best choice. In terms of places, it’s a mid-range steakhouse, but it does seem expensive for the overall quality of the food, and all three diners in my party, including myself, were disappointed with the quality of the food for the prices paid. For drinks, I went for a Long Island Iced Tea, it was fine, pretty good value at £8.50, but again I’ve had a lot better elsewhere, and I prefer actual ice cubes compared to the crushed ice, which makes it seem a little slush-like. I was served by Kayleigh, who was friendly, although her knowledge about the menu could have been slightly better, as I asked about the difference between the 30-day and 50-day aged steaks, and all she could reply was the time they’ve been aged, and they’re all nice. I appreciated how they brought over a little token to congratulate me as they knew we visited to celebrate, which was a scoop of ice cream and a chocolate. I do not recall anyone checking in during the meal, nor asking if everything was okay after noticing a bunch of half-eaten food. This wouldn’t be somewhere I’d return to, unfortunately, due to having a number of issues; a steakhouse should be able to get a steak right and not leave multiple guests wanting more.”

  “Perfect Valentine's meal served fresh, hot and prompt with the support of the fantastic waitress Lydia! Cosy atmosphere, incredible steak and delicious lobster - and a delicious Dirty burger! Service was great from beginning to end and we had a lovely night. Great to have this on our doorstep, we will be back! 🐄”

  “I had the pleasure of being served by Lydia during my recent visit to Miller & Carter, and she was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcome with her warm smile and friendly energy. Lydia was attentive, professional, and clearly knew the menu inside out—her recommendations were spot on. What impressed me most was her ability to anticipate our needs without us having to ask. She struck the perfect balance of being present without hovering, and every interaction felt genuine and thoughtful. Lydia truly elevated our dining experience, and she’s a real asset to the Miller & Carter team. We’ll definitely be back thanks to her!”
