Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the friendly, welcoming staff, with the owner greeting diners at the door and joking with children, and several say it felt like eating in someone's home. Among dishes, one reviewer praises a calzone for its balance of sauce, meat and mozzarella, another calls a sliced beef special excellent, and a limoncello is described as a lovely touch. Vegetarian options and reasonable pricing also come up, though one diner found the after dinner decaf coffee tasted like hot tar. Two reviewers describe serious organisation problems. A group of 14 had its booking mixed up across two days, the deposit amount disputed, wrong drinks and meals delivered, and a bill charging for 23 meals when 13 were eaten, with the deposit not deducted. A table of four waited a long time to order and watched a plate be taken away because it belonged to another table, and the owner offered a small gesture in apology.

“Absolutely love this restaurant. The food is excellent, very tasty and the staff are accommodating and friendly. It’s very reasonably priced. The only negative if pushed to find one, was the after dinner decaf coffee. Tasted like a cup of hot tar. Other than that, it was a wonderful meal and we will certainly be going again.”

“Had a meal here for the first time last night and just wanted to say the staff and owners are honestly the nicest people, they were all so welcoming and friendly it honestly felt like we were eating in their own home rather than in a restaurant. Amazing service and amazing food & drink, thank you”

“Such a nice and friendly place! The staff were so kind and helpful, and the restaurant vibe was 10/10. Food-wise, I ordered the calzone, and it tasted fabulous! Everything about the calzone was perfect—the ratio of sauce, meat, and mozzarella was spot on, making it taste fantastic. If you’re heading to Bury and craving real, authentic Italian cuisine, don’t miss this place! 10/10, highly recommended!”

“We had a lovely evening at Biagios... Biagio works so hard and particularly tonight as he was working by himself. Never without a smile or cheeky quip for his customers though! At one point the chef was serving and taking orders too, but this was great and it was lovely to see the teamwork. The food was lovely, limoncello was a lovely touch, and we'll definitely be back 🫶🫶”
