About Castello Restaurant
Castello Restaurant is a family-run Italian restaurant at 415 Rochdale Old Rd in Bury. Any pasta dish can be made gluten free, and the team notes allergies when taking the order, so guests with dietary needs can still choose from the full pasta list. A variety of desserts rounds out the menu.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the lamb, with reviewers describing it as falling off the bone and melting in the mouth, alongside pasta dishes such as the salmon and spinach pasta and the lasagna. Close behind are chicken dishes in creamy sauces, including the pollo alla crema, and starters like garlic mushrooms, calamari and garlic bread. One reviewer called the pizza one of the best they had eaten, and another praised the warm chocolate fudge cake. Several describe booking last minute for birthdays and being accommodated without being rushed, with the staff singing happy birthday or bringing complimentary shots. A coeliac diner found the waitress knowledgeable, noting she would flag the allergy so the kitchen avoided thickener in the sauce. Complaints are small: one wanted more salmon in the pasta, another found the sauce on the salmon and prawn dish too salty, and the calamari was called just ok. Several say they had the restaurant to themselves, and one visitor from Derbyshire has returned three times.

“Nice restaurant, I was with a largish party and people were pleased overall. The service was pleasant and efficient. The calamari starter was ok, the salmon with prawn was better - excellent salmon just the sauce did not need as much salt. There is a small parking in the back which should help if the restaurant is not very busy.”
