Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers come back to the value, especially the Monday to Thursday two-meal deal and family meals that diners say cost about half what other places charge. Praised dishes include the Full Monty, the Full English, scampi and chips, and fish and chips, with the chips called excellent and plates described as hot, tasty and ample. Several mention friendly, helpful waitresses and food that came out quickly, and one says the pub is a big improvement on an earlier visit. The criticism centres on inconsistent food and service. One Sunday lunch diner reports dry roast potatoes that seemed frozen first, overcooked vegetables, a pie that tasted old, and Korean tacos and Hallomi fries refried to a dark orange, with chicken too hard to cut. Another found the kids' mash dry and instant-tasting, and one suspected a microwaved all day breakfast. Others describe a slow greeting and a rude counter server, and one party asking for cutlery was told it was in the empty baskets.

“The place is extremely pricey but had a nice atmosphere. I was chilling with my wife and some friends. I was drinking a few beers and enjoyed my first fish and chips, I will say it was pretty good. The only problem I had was the girl at the counter was extremely rude to not only myself but other customers. Her hair was a mess and she had hickeys all over her. She was extremely argumentative and rude.”

“Since this place was taken over and managed by people who Care about their customers the food and drink is Excellent. Normally I have Scampi and Chips but today I went for the Full English. It beat me I could not eat all of it and some chips Sausage and toast are coming home to my eager Bulldogs. The Food was Hot and Freshly cooked Heinz Ketchup as well.It is open from 12pm to 11pm and is located as you come into Mildenhall i don't normally rate others as life is full of false misleading ratings but This deserves 5 stars They take advance bookings and you can reserve a table that will be ready for you.”

“The value and the food here is AMAZING. Two meals for 13 quid Monday-Thursday, especially in this economy, is fantastic. We've been able to eat here as a family of four with starters, entrees, and drinks for 35 quid. Literally half the price of many other places. Half Moon quickly became our favorite local pub, and fortunately we live almost within walking distance.”
