Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the Sunday roast, with one saying the gravy could be drunk by the gallon and another calling the roast fantastic. Close behind are the soft shell tacos, which appear in a couple of reviews, along with a fish pie, a chicken Caesar salad with huge pieces of chicken, and a spicy cauliflower starter at a Christmas party, where the turkey dinner was also very good. Service draws mixed reports. Some describe polite, attentive servers, while others describe a long wait to order, plates left on the table, and one party who received only starters over a long visit and left before the mains. One reviewer found the starters and mains bland, said a returned meal with pasta as hard as gob stoppers stayed on the bill, and reported a deposit taken without notice and a wine charged above its menu price. Others mention a patio door left open that made a table feel like a wind tunnel, and receptionists who seemed a little rude. One diner celebrating a sister's graduation was surprised with a congratulations dessert.

“Visited for a meal with work friends during a weekday lunch time. Food was lovely & pricing was fair. Service was nice enough however receptionists were a little rude. That being said, they appeared to be in conversation with a regular so positive for the regulars. Would visit again.”

“Possibly the best sunday roast I have ever had, the gravy itself could be drunk by the gallon. Reasonable price of £21 could possibly use a little more beef but the gravy and accompanying veg makes up for this minor downside. Will deffinately be dining again.”

“Over priced, mediocre food. Starters were bland, mains were bland. They take deposits before you get there without telling you. £7 bottle of wine was £37 and actually on the menu is priced at £36. They charge different prices to those stated on the menu. Food was so bad we decided against desserts and for 3 of us, 2 courses still cost £174. Menu was mainly fish and two of us don't really eat fish. I've dined at some lovely restaurants, this isn't one of them it just pretends to be one. Despite one meal having to go back, not even taken off the bill and the the replacement meal wasn't much better, pasta as hard as gob stoppers. Don't waste your time or your money.”
