About The Viet Kitchen Cotham Hill
The Viet Kitchen Cotham Hill is an independent, family-run Vietnamese restaurant at 6 Cotham Hill in Bristol, with seating on an upper floor and in a basement. Pho leads the menu. The house version comes with poached chicken, beef and beef balls, and other bowls are made with spicy chicken, tofu and mushroom, or vegetables. Bao buns are filled with fried chicken or chicken satay, so the kitchen also covers the bun side of the menu. Summer rolls come as a starter, and spring rolls and prawn crackers are served as sides. The kitchen also makes its own tiramisu for dessert. The restaurant can get very busy, and a wait is common at peak times.

Customer Review Summary
The house pho is what reviewers return to most, praised for a rich, warming broth and portions so large that one says to expect leftovers boxed up. Summer rolls come close behind, called delicious and generous, alongside the bun thit, spring rolls and prawn crackers. Bao buns, including a chicken satay version, are described as soft and bigger than elsewhere, with fried chicken one reviewer calls perfect. A house-made tiramisu and a banh mi also earn mentions, and one diner with gluten intolerance found the staff kind and clear about options. Staff are repeatedly called friendly.

“Really great spot on Cotham Hill. The food is amazing - specifically the house pho. The broth is incredibly warming and it's legitimately one of the best hangover cures I've found in Bristol. The portions are massive, so definitely expect to get the rest boxed up to take home. The only downside is that the seating is a bit cramped, but it's 100% worth it for the food. Highly recommend.”

“Really lovely Vietnamese restaurant. Quality is top notch. House noddles and Bahn Mi are highly recommended. Their house made tiramisu felt quite comforting. I already visited them more than once so imo they are really good. Service is quite efficient given then number of staffs/chef. Really appreciate that 🫶. The sitting area downstairs can feel a bit too small. They also have a small public bathroom.”

“£30 for two pho's, we had tofu and mushroom pho and vegetable pho. Really good value for money and large portion size. Atmosphere is lively but quite small and squished together. Will be coming back to try other things on the menu”
