Customer Review Summary
Pho draws the most praise, with reviewers describing a rich broth, tender beef, and a taste they compare to Ho Chi Minh City. Bún Bò Huế comes close behind, called authentic and flavourful, with one diner pairing it with a pork rice bowl and another with bánh mì. Others single out the satay and pork bao, the spicy beef soup, grilled pork vermicelli, king prawn and pork summer rolls, and the Iced Viet Coffee, described as strong and sweet. Portions are repeatedly called generous, and several describe friendly staff. The criticisms are specific. One diner found the bao hard, as if made the day before, and the noodles not chewy. Another waited without receiving food while later arrivals were served, was told only to keep waiting, and left without eating. A couple of reviewers also mention tables placed close together and a cramped dining area. On a hot day, one waitress seated a party near the fan and kept refilling their water.

“We ordered the Bun bo hue and pork rice bowl. Safe to say it was one of the best authentic tasting broths we’ve had in the UK. Both portions were very generous and so flavourful. Super friendly staff and so attentive! Must try if you’re in Bristol.”

“The restaurant environment was really poor. The space was extremely cramped, and there were flies constantly flying around the food. The hygiene was honestly very concerning. We waited for an hour and a half after arriving, and still didn’t get our food. What made it even worse was that several tables who arrived after us had already been served and were eating, while we were still waiting. We asked about our food twice, but the staff just kept telling us to wait, while continuing to serve other tables. They didn’t give us any proper explanation at all. In the end, we were so frustrated that we left without eating. This level of service and efficiency is completely unacceptable. We definitely won’t be coming back”

“First time here and we loved it! Amazing!! It was quite hot, but our waitress kindly seated us near the fan, kept checking on us and refilling our water. Amazing service, and the king prawn and pork summer rolls were honestly out of this world. We’ll definitely be back 100%.”

“The satay bao and the pork bao were really good. Definitely recommend to try if you’re going there. The spicy beef soup was also flavorful. Don’t forget to get the Iced Viet Coffee, such a strong and sweet flavor 🤍 Service was also really nice although there was just one server on the front, she handled quite well. 10/10”
