Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the staff, describing a team that replaced a tray of spilled drinks without complaint, offered to carry a drink and cake to a parent feeding a baby at the till, and brought sugar unprompted. A barista's iced hazelnut oat latte and a hot, fresh americano draw praise, and the coffee is called good. Food is described as fresh, quick and good value, and one reviewer returns for the bacon roll. Several call it a no-fuss stop between errands, though one notes items sometimes sell out. The main complaint is crowding. One reviewer found the space small with cramped seating and slow service from staff who seemed run off their feet. Another said tables needed clearing so more people could sit, and a third found the room so hot they almost collapsed. One reviewer called the tea terribly weak, with too little milk, and disliked the margarine pots served with the scones.

“Terribly weak tea, nowhere near enough milk to go with it, scones with nasty margarine pots? Gross.”

“Went to the cafe in Longwell Green for lunch today with my family. Accidentally spilt the tray of drinks all over the table and floor. Megan and Sophie and another lady immediately came over and cleared everything up for us and even replaced our drinks for us despite it being our fault. All the staff at this cafe are great but these ladies today were so kind and helpful. Please pass on our thanks to them for their help today”

“AMAZING service from our barista poppy. She made sure everyones drinks were displayed amazingly and tasted GORGEOUS! Her customer service made our day and experience. The only flaw was that the room was so hot that i literally almost collapsed. The food was great but what made it was the iced hazelnut oat latte and the americano being so hot and fresh. This was in long-well green.”

“I'm strangely surprised to say that the m&s cafe is great. The coffee is good and the food is fresh and quick. Yes, sometimes they sell out of options but I suppose that happens everywhere. It's no fuss, but good quality. Sometimes it's crazy busy, but when it's not it's an easy place to stop while running errands.”
