Customer Review Summary
The complaints are mixed. One reviewer found the pho broth bland, the curry lacking depth, the tofu dry and the peanut butter coffee overwhelmingly sweet. Another says the vegetable spring rolls were small for the price and the rice pot disappointed. One mentions a loud child at the next table during a lunch break, one found a waitress unwelcoming, and another notes service can be a little slower. One reviewer checked whether the chicken was halal, as it is not always, and suggests asking before ordering.

“The food presentation is ok, but unfortunately, the flavor didn't match. The peanut butter coffee was overwhelmingly sweet, I couldn't finish it. Both the pho and the curry lacked depth, and the tofu in both dishes was completely tasteless, dry; the pho broth itself was very bland. The environment felt more like a playground than a restaurant—there was a child sitting right at our table being loud and playing loud iPad videos, making it impossible to relax we couldn’t relax on our lunch break…”

“An incredible place with lovely food. We tried the Pho soup and the rice, and it was seriously delicious and cheap. We were really pleased with the service and the brilliant chef, who helped us and was so polite🥢”

“BEST pho in all of Brighton--if not the entirety of the UK. Very clean, fast, and friendly! The first sip of my broth brought tears to my eyes. I will spend every day of my life thinking about the pho experience I had at Milk No Sugar. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Milk No Sugar, for reminding me why I choose to stay alive. Your meal truly inspired me.”

“Seriously recommend this place ❤️ the food was made to order and the vegetables and herbs were very fresh. The summer rolls were a perfect texture too. The best Pho in Brighton in my opinion! Service can be a little slower but the shop has a quiet atmosphere and the food is worth any wait. Shop owner is very friendly and patient too. The prices are also ridiculously good.”
