About Honest Burgers Brighton
Honest Burgers Brighton is a hamburger restaurant at 8 Duke St in the Lanes in Brighton, open daily. The kitchen makes its British beef burgers in its own butchery and serves them with rosemary chips. A local burger is made with Joosy beer, and vegan burgers have their own place on the menu. Loaded fries with gravy come as a side. Most burgers and all sauces are gluten free, a gluten free bun is available, and gluten free items are cooked separately. A lunch deal pairs a burger with a drink. House red wine is also on offer.

Customer Review Summary
Burgers draw the most praise, described as fresh and thick, alongside fries and a purple coleslaw one reviewer says is to die for. Others single out loaded fries with gravy, the vegan burgers, and the house red wine. A coeliac reviewer reports that nearly all burgers and sauces come gluten free, with staff explaining the separate cooking. Service is a steady theme, with several calling the staff friendly. The complaints are specific. One diner received a burger so raw it was moving, with cold chips, and felt blamed by a server's reply, though the kitchen remade it straight away. Another found thin lunch-set patties burnt and bitter, with soggy chips. One reviewer disliked the onion rings, and another found the outside tables sticky. One diner stuck in traffic says staff recooked their loaded fries so they were fresh.

“Beautiful atmosphere and amazing burgers & fries. Coloring and word search activities for the kids to do while we ordered, and the staff was so helpful! I will say though, i didn’t really like the onion rings but other than that everything was great!”

“Fantastic service, great burger! Definitely a strong location for Honest Burgers. Very friendly & charismatic service from the staff. Only downside, the outside tables were incredibly sticky and this was uncomfortable. Apart from this, highly recommend!”

“Amazing burgers, been a few times. Apparently the vegan burgers are the best too. Great customer service. Really good house red wine 😋 It’s way better than GBK even though their beef isn’t 100% grass fed. I believe honest burgers chicken is free range.”

“WOW!!! Thank you Honest Burgers - firstly amazingly helpful and friendly staff. We were stuck in traffic and very late to collect our order so they recooked our loaded fries so they were fresh. The burgers, gravy and fries were so delicious and well worth the drive down for us. Burgers were really special…. Highly recommended”

“I’m Coeliac and most of the burgers bar one (onions beer battered) are Gluten Free. Alongside all sauces. The bun is very good 30p up charge which is good compared to other places. Staff explained the method of cooking gluten free items separately. Very friendly staff had a chat with them for about 10 minutes before we left. Really lovely place definitely go again.”

“Our burger restaurant in Brighton is two minutes from the beach. We serve British beef burgers made in our own butchery, with rosemary chips and a local burger in collaboration with local brewery, Joosy beer. Outdoor dining and dog-friendly.”
