About The Wheel at Worfield
The Wheel at Worfield is a gastropub in Bridgnorth, run as a country pub and restaurant serving food and drinks. A specials menu sits alongside the regular one, and a lamb scotch egg starter features among the specials. The kitchen makes its burgers in-house, including a pulled pork burger. The Sunday roast is also on the menu, so the pub covers both a casual burger order and a traditional roast. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Burgers draw the most praise. One diner called the ultimate burger very good and so filling that the bun and most of the chips went unfinished, another enjoyed the pulled pork burger, and a third said both burgers were clearly prepared in-house with generous portions. Close behind are starters from the specials, the garlic mushrooms and the lamb scotch egg, both called excellent. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and attentive, and one table noted everything arrived together and piping hot. The complaints centre on portions and the Sunday roast. One returning diner who had enjoyed the chicken cobb salad found a smaller portion with items missing at the same price, and was told nothing had changed. A group of six described Sunday roasts that were lukewarm and unpleasant tasting, with a single roast potato and no sprouts or cabbage. A couple of others mention slower service when busy and wanting less salt. Dessert gets the last word, with the apple crumble and custard called one of the best in a while.

“I am writing to express my severe disappointment with the meal my group of six had at your establishment today, Sunday 25th October. Three of our party ordered the traditional Sunday Roast, and the experience was entirely unacceptable: Food Safety & Quality: The meat served to all three of us who ordered the 'Sunday Roast' was undercooked. In addition to being unsafe, the food was served lukewarm at best and had an unpleasant taste. Lack of Variety & Portion Size: The plate was extremely bare—it contained only a single roast potato and one or two sparse items. Classic Sunday roast staples, such as sprouts and cabbage, were entirely absent. Given the quality and safety issues with the food, this ruined what was meant to be an enjoyable family Sunday lunch.”

“We stumble upon this venue on our way to our holiday destination and I'm very pleased we pulled in for lunch. The food there was excellent, beautifully cooked and a very decent portion. Price wise it was on par with other bar/ restaurant places. If you are heading that way I would recommend a stop of for refreshments.”

“When i first visited,I was impressed with the food especially the chicken cobb salad.although pricey than I usually pay but was worth it. The 2nd time was also good & so on.. The more recent time I visited was so different..the food was smaller portion & items not on the plate, but same price.i didn't enjoy it & queried it but was told it had not changed from previous. But i know it definitely has. So will not be returning again, which is a shame. Reply : the waitress said it was large & that was my order. But I disagree”

“Went for a Thursday lunch with friends. Hadn't been for some time and I believe it's now under new management. Two of us had starters, the garlic mushrooms and the lamb scotch egg from the specials menu. Both were excellent. We all enjoyed our mains, though service could have been a bit quicker but it was very busy. I don't normally order burgers but their ultimate burger was very good and so filling that I had to leave the bun and most of my chips. There were no complaints about about the food from any of us. A place we will go to again in the future.”
