  “AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!! Picked up an order with a sauce missing. Called up and we were told it was leaving at the time of calling. 20min we waited (only 5min we stay away) to get a already cold sauce with the other food now cold as well. Called back again and the poor lady behind the counter done everything on her end to rectify the issue by issuing a refund. But it's the owner, now this idiot of a man ended up texting me basically saying we were not getting a refund and it's our fault that the food went cold. Now anyone that reheats chinese food knows that it goes stodgy when you reheat it. But to him that was our fault and we were to call the police. Won't be going back but letting anyone else know that's the type of attitude you're getting from the owner. Poor girl again was getting embarrassed from the unprofessional manner of the owner and ended up giving the refund herself as he wasn't helping the situation in anyway shape or form.”

  “We use the Hong Kong pretty much 3+ times a month. We've tasted a few things off the menu and we can say, they have always been great tasting meals. Great salt n pepper chicken wings, great Singapore chow mein....could go on all day about the food.”

  “Avoid! Sent to the wrong delivery address, food finally arrived with wrong order, burnt and bland! Didn't eat any of it, complete waste of money! Also with the cheek of charging double delivery fee!”

  “Thought I would try this take away establishment as I heard it has changed ownership. I previously gave this place one star in the past when owned by previous people. Well, ownership might of changed,but unfortunately the standard of food hasn't improved at all. Still rate this place as one of the worst Chinese takeaways in Midlothian,let alone Bonnyrigg.”

  “Order took an hour and a half to arrive. The food was out for delivery for half an hour and came too cold to eat below the regulation temperature for food. Items were also missing from the order, when phoning to sort the issue the restaurant offered to refund the order and then hung up before doing so. Avoid this place at all costs.”

  “The special rice was disgusting. No one could eat it. It had a brown gravy on it which tasted like Indian food. The lemon chicken was in a sweet and sour sauce. Everything else was just ok. The 1 star is for the dry ribs.”

  “This is the 2nd meal we’ve had since the change of hands and both meals have left me disappointed. Who puts sautéed onions and peppers in dry salt and chilli spare ribs? The egg foo young was like scrambled eggs and had a burnt flavour through it. The other meals ordered today were also poor and I have to say portion sizes have dropped significantly. We won’t be back”

  “Been looking for a good Chinese in my area for ages,hesitated for long time. Glad I chose this Chinese, curry was amazing,best I've had for many years. I did feel portion was so big for me. Not that I'm complaining, I see many reviews have said they do half portions, guess that would suit me better. Fast delivery and food was hot. Will be my regular Chinese for now. Wouldn't recommend anyone to try this Chinese.”
