“Desi breakfast is very average..you are better off going chaiwala. Couldve made it at home, but for the price and deciding to dine out for brunch for a change you would expect something extra. The atmosphere was just not it. As for customer service..the man behind the till needs to improve his tone and way of communicating. He talks to you like you are stupid, when you are just looking in detail and he starts talking to you like you are dumb, I had to tell him I dont need the menu explaining. Very typical indian nature. Would I go again, no. Try elsewhere which is calmer, more worth the price and better customer service.”

“We ordered several breakfast as wanted to eat out before going shopping. Ordered the breakfast and requested tea to be made desi version and they asked if the egg was to be fried or omelette. Opted for omelette on some. We paid the bill and sat down as there were a few waiting. Whilst waiting for the food tried to work out how much each person had spent. It was then we realised we had paid more than advertised price. We asked at counter why the difference they said the desi tea was extra £1.90 and omelette incurred another £1.30. Ok so they don't give you the standard tea that comes with but rather charges you for the full desi tea which is usually only difference of 50p. As for the fried egg and omelette issue usually the difference on their meals is 40p or so yet they charge you more than double. So that whole experience of getting ripped off like that has put me off from going. Also I will be telling others to double check on what you paying. Maybe the desi breakfast should come with everything desi and not English tea as they call it.”

“I don’t what all the hype is about it’s very average and there’s nothing that really stands out. Food very average and the extra eggs I ordered looks a bit sorry for themselves. The owner blows his own trumpet saying it’s the best breakfast around here but it’s definitely not the best. Overall it was an average breakfast with lots of cheap items that bulked the plate up.”

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often point to the desi breakfast and desi tea, with the tea described as strong and sweet, and the mega breakfast praised for its portion size. Hash browns come up close behind, with one calling them the best, and another singling out a flavoursome sausage. Several mention the halal options, the range of English and Desi dishes, and staff who tailor orders to requirements. Value splits opinion: some find it reasonably priced, while others call the food very average, with greasy plates, extra eggs that looked sorry for themselves, and orange juice that was just mid. The most detailed complaint concerns extras at the till. One group paid more than the advertised price after the desi tea and an omelette instead of a fried egg were added on top, and they felt overcharged. Several also criticise the man at the till for a condescending tone, with one saying he explained the menu as if they were stupid. One reviewer burnt-paninis complaint closes the negatives, after a long drive for a panini that arrived burnt.
