Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return for breakfast, and the eggs benedict is the dish named most, with one calling it the best they've had in a long time and another praising a perfect poached egg on the Egg Royale. Close behind are the Salt and Pepper hash browns and the Sticky Chicken bowl, with the French toast, including a gluten free version, also singled out. Several describe friendly, flexible staff, such as topping a rosti with smoked salmon instead of kippers, and a vanilla milkshake and chai latte get praise too. The complaints are about delivery and execution. One reviewer waited an hour for food and then found a snotty egg, cold beans and an overcooked sausage, though the brownie was delicious. Another found the salmon poke bowl painfully spicy from chilli sauce, sliced red chillies and pickled ginger, though the salmon was cooked nicely. One said a gritty, bitter gingerbread matcha was replaced with a charge for a second, higher priced drink. Others mention queuing to order separately and a dark room.

“A small cafe situated on the main road running through Egerton opposite the Thomas Egerton pub. I ordered the salmon chill poke bowl but I didn't realise that it would be so spicey hot. Unfortunately apart from chilli sauce there was sliced red chillies and hot pickled ginger, all far yoo much for me. My mouth was on fire after trying a little so couldn't really taste anything else. The salmon was cooked nicely and the salad was fresh. My friend had; the chicken taziki pole bowl, which she enjoyed, apart from the sliced red chilli and picked ginger. My other friends had grilled sandwiches and both enjoyed them. Its a pity that you have to queue up to order your food separately. We couldn't order together as we were paying individually by card. I do prefer waitress service. I also need to mention the back garden, we were sat looking out onto it and its a mess. They've obviously not bothered to do anything with it, pity as it could be used to sit out if it was done nicely. There are a few seats at the front but they're on the main road. It was busy when we called on a Thursday lunchtime. I'd try it again but just avoid the salad bowls.”

“Not been here before and was really looking forward to it looking at the reviews but Im afraid we didn't have a great experience. Ordered at the till and sat down, waited 10 mins for our coffees which was fine, but then waited an hour for our food when the server came over and asked if we had ordered food ??. It came shortly after, I had a breakfast and the egg was snotty and the beans were stone cold and the sausage was over cooked. To be fair I didn't say anything as was busy and I had already waited so long. The only saving grace was the brownie I bought to take home, that was delicious.”

“Terrible experience, one star is generous if Google would enable me to give 0 stars I would have. Ordered a gingerbread matcha with an incessant amount of syrup. It was of poor quality and un drinkable. Complete Scam Energy Hands down one of the worst café experiences I’ve ever had. The matcha was straight-up awful gritty, bitter, and absolutely undrinkable. I tried to return it, expecting at least basic customer service. Big mistake. Not only did they refuse to handle it properly, they charged me AGAIN, and somehow managed to charge me MORE for the exact same drink. Make it make sense. I paid extra for something I didn’t want, didn’t drink, and already disliked. This place has zero professionalism, zero accountability, and clearly doesn’t care about customers at all. Between the terrible product and the absurd overcharging, it feels less like a café and more like a cash grab. I left feeling scammed and annoyed. Do yourself a favor and spend your money literally anywhere else.”

“Recently paid a visit to the Globe Cafè. The places is Warm an welcoming, with a relaxed mood as you dine!! The staff are pleasant and approachable and are more than happy to accommodate any issues or requests... The food is rather good, whether you just fancy an English breakfast or eggs benadict to start your day. Or you're feeling a bit more ventures, and you fancy trying one of their fusion poke bowls 🥣 or ramen. They do have wide sections of dishes on the menu to accommodate your appetite 😋. Or if you fancy just bobbing in for a simple coffee ☕️ and cake!! Quick chat with a friend, they have a great selection of tea & coffee option, it isn't mandatory that ya have dine when seated. Rely nice little cafe to have on your doorstep in Egerton. Deffently be returning and certainly recommend yo family and friends.!! They are happy to take reservations and can accommodate group bookings with enough nice. !!”
