About Vintro Lounge

Vintro Lounge is an eclectic restaurant at 84 Church St in Blackpool, where old roller coaster cars and merry-go-round horses hang from the ceiling. The decor draws on seaside, circus and amusement-park themes, with retro circus pictures on the walls. The building overlooks St John's Square and sits close to the Winter Gardens, and it spreads across two floors with floor-to-ceiling windows. The menu is wide, with tapas-style small plates, including a three-dish tapas selection and whipped feta. It also lists a bacon cheese burger and a Mediterranean Grill, along with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Guests can stop in for just a coffee, a pint or a cocktail instead of a full meal. Vintro Lounge is open daily.

Customer Review Summary

Tapas-style small plates draw the most praise, with diners describing a six-dish spread, a three-dish selection and the whipped feta as outstanding. The bacon cheese burger comes close behind, called incredibly tasty by one reviewer, while another liked it but found it only fairly warm on arrival. The Mediterranean grill is also singled out as tasty and great value. Reviewers describe a wide menu with kids, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free choices, quick friendly service and nice cocktails, and several call the prices reasonable. The fairground and circus decor is mentioned repeatedly, from wooden roller coaster cars to merry go round horses suspended from the ceiling. On busy show nights the food takes a while, and one reviewer felt the staff dress could be more consistent. One dissenting reviewer found the food bland and tasteless and dismissed the positive reviews as paid. A Sunday morning visitor found upstairs much quieter, with food that arrived fast.

“We visited on a very busy Saturday night. We popped in for some tea before heading off to the Imax. The restaurant was super busy but the lovely guy on the door found us somewhere to sit quite quickly. The staff here were also very friendly and polite which was lovely as that made the atmosphere in the restaurant and also shows that they enjoy working there. Food took some time but that was to be expected as it was mega busy (even just in Blackpool aswell, I saw lots of girls with dance hair so there was an event on at the winter gardens/ballroom for sure) Food was really good, it was freshly done and hot, great selection of food to be found. The restaurant itself deserves a paragraph or 2 because whoever did the interior design work is amazing 👏🏼 The whole place had remnants of old circus/amusement park. Old wooden roller coaster cars and merry go round horses suspended from the ceiling. Old retro circus pictures on the wall. Very on brand for this chain but also individual and indicative of the area its located in and I loved that! I could have sat and just looked for ages, there was so much to see.”

“I mean.......... Don't get decieved by positive reviews. Those are paid actors, I honestly don't understand what people with good reviews are. I personally got bland food, with no taste to it. Staff is alright but if you want some noice food. This is not the place.”

“A great spot to really settle in and enjoy good food. The theme really ties in with what Blackpool is known for. Great location, which means it can get very busy on show days. There are plenty of paid car parks and on street parking close by. I often visit with friends, we love the small plates (tapas style). It is also good for if you just fancied a drink.”

“We ate at the Vinto yesterday (30.05.2026) as we were going to a show at the Blackpool Opera House. My friend and I love tapas so we chose 6 dishes and fries. Presentation was good but the taste was even better. Just wish we had this restaurant on our doorstep in Halifax as it was outstanding..!!!! And the whipped Feta was absolutely delicious…!!!!!”

“Roll Up! Roll Up! Welcome to the greatest venue on earth: Vintro Lounge. We’re on a handsome corner site overlooking St John’s Square, right by the Winter Gardens in the centre of Blackpool. We run across two floors with massive floor to ceiling windows and outdoor seating spilling out onto the square. We’ve a fantastic range of food and drinks (including full kids, gluten free and vegan menus) and the generous smattering of vintage fairground touches inside brings a touch of the seafront inside - every one a winner!”
