Quick info
About Beach House Bar & Restaurant
Overlooking Blackpool's promenade, Beach House Bar & Restaurant serves Mediterranean dishes alongside a wider menu spanning pizza, steak, and seafood. Calamari and lobster feature among the roughly 20 dishes on offer, with a live DJ playing music in place of recorded tracks. The terrace and window seating look out toward the beach and sunset, and outdoor tables extend the dining space further. A halal menu and separate vegan and gluten-free options broaden the choices available to guests with dietary needs. Families with young children are accommodated with high chairs, and the step-free entrance suits visitors with mobility needs. Dogs are welcome throughout, and free Wi-Fi is available. Reservations are recommended given the venue's popularity for its views. A 7% service charge is added to the bill, and parking nearby can be hard to find, so guests may want to plan their arrival accordingly.

Customer Review Summary
The seafood platter and steak draw the most praise, with reviewers repeatedly calling out fresh, well-prepared dishes and window or terrace seats overlooking the beach as the setting that makes meals memorable. Close behind, several single out attentive servers by role who topped up drinks, moved parties to sunset-view tables, or talked through the menu, and diners note the restaurant handled mixed dietary needs, including nut allergy, gluten free, vegan and dairy intolerant, well. Others mention the wood fired pizza, calamari, scallops and a complimentary tequila rose or lemon tart as nice touches. Prices run high for some, with one diner citing a steak around forty six pounds and lobster over sixty, and a few note slow service getting drinks or staff attention. One reviewer describes only one working ladies' toilet and difficulty finding parking. Most seriously, one family reports their booking for a child's birthday was cancelled an hour before arrival over under-16 licensing rules, after being given days' notice, and says a recommended alternative restaurant turned out to be closed, leaving them without a meal. Several reviewers still describe returning again and again over the years for the terrace and sunset views.

“Visit Blackpool often with family, always dine here. The location is ideal, especially in summer months to dine on the terrace. Find the prices quite high(£46 for a steak on its own),lobster was £60plus.Dont really mind as the food is always freshly prepared. I have noticed the servers can be quite slow, and you have to either get their attention or go upto them. Last time we ordered more drinks with food, but never came so ended up leaving earlier. The duty manager,Natalie can be very inhospitable, and appears rude. We arrived from station with 2 suitcases and she was not happy and could be seen and heard complaining, quite of putting attitude. On this particular occasion,we spend over £200 on lunch for six people. All the other staff are very friendly, and welcoming...even providing a bowl of water for our little poodle. Exceptional attitude,of Steph, goes above and beyond to make the guests feel valued.”

“Absolutely appalling experience. I booked a table for six on Tuesday for a Saturday evening meal. Travelling down from Scotland, an 8 hour car journey. During the online booking I specifically mentioned in the notes that it was our 12-year-old daughter’s birthday and asked if a sunset view table would be possible. There isn’t an option to specify adults and children separately, so I made sure to include her age in the booking notes. Despite having this information for four days, nobody contacted me until one hour before our reservation, when I received a voicemail saying they couldn’t honour our booking because of their licensing restrictions regarding under-16s. They then called again to make sure I’d received the message, which only made it more frustrating because they clearly knew it was important enough to chase—but not important enough to contact us any earlier. This wasn’t just a normal family meal. It was a celebration for three birthdays in our group that week, including our 12-year-old daughter and my 14-year-old sister. By the time we found out, it was far too late to book anywhere else on a Saturday evening. To make matters worse, we were recommended another restaurant by the staff, saying it was a brilliant alternative. We walked around half an hour to get there with hungry children, only to find it was CLOSED. Who told us this? THEIR CHEF.. Of all people 🙈 We then had to walk all the way back towards our hotel and ended up grabbing a kebab because almost everywhere else was shut by then. At least the kebab shop kept the girls entertained with the local “nightlife”, I won’t repeat any vocabulary used but it wasn’t the ideal birthday meal. I’m not disputing that licensing rules exist. What I cannot understand is why nobody looked at the booking notes when the reservation was made, or at any point over the following four days. A simple phone call on Tuesday, Wednesday or even Friday would have given us plenty of time to make other arrangements. Instead, our evening was completely ruined. This showed a complete lack of organisation, communication and consideration for your customers. A birthday celebration was spoiled, hungry children were left walking around Blackpool late at night looking for somewhere to eat, and we were left incredibly disappointed. I certainly won’t be booking here again, and based on this experience I wouldn’t recommend anyone else does either.”
