Customer Review Summary
The negatives are specific. One reviewer says their instructions were completely ignored and the result was close to a bob, which they loathe, so they went to another hairdresser. Another describes a cut not done as requested, with a razor used at the front that left frizzy, shaved strands near the scalp. A parent reports that the lone barber never acknowledged them, and they left after standing around for 20 minutes, saying it happens every visit.

“Another really good experience at Scissors. Due to the corona virus situation I have limited myself to my usual outside activities.... such as hairdressers. However, now that things are getting back to a sense of normality, it was a great relief to go back to Scissors. It was really good to know, and experience, that things are back to how I remember them...... great service, friendly atmosphere and a very good job done. I have always recommended Scissors and have absolutely no problem with recommending them again.”

“Took my son after school for his hair cut today. As per previous times we've been, when we walked in there's only one person cutting in the barbers. She didn't look up to acknowledge us, just kept cutting and she avoided all eye contact with us. There was another family waiting, and when it was their turn still she didn't say a word to us. The place is under-staffed, and what little staff work there they are plain rude. I ended up walking out after standing for 20 mins, waiting for someone to say something. It happens everytime we go, so enough is enough now. You've lost my business, and this review is being plastered on as many review sites as possible.”

“I have used Scissors for quite a few years now and have never had cause to complain. The staff are very down to earth and friendly and it is a pleasure to go to and get my hair cut. It is a very clean and good quality barber's and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Highly recommended.”

“Worst hair cut I've ever had and I've had some bad ones in my time. My hair was not cut as requested and I left the shop looking like cousin IT. They should have spent less time straightening it and more time cutting it. Additionally they have destroyed the front parts of my hair with the incorrect use of a razor, they have shaved strands of hair by my scalp, leaving an untameable, frizzy mess that now requires the use of hair gel 3x a day probably for the next two years. I don't know how you can cause such damage to a customer's hair and call yourself a hairdresser?”

“Lovely staff, but's hard for me to leave a positive review as my instructions were completely ignored and I have to go back out to an alternative hairdressers who will follow my instructions. My hair is looking pretty sad, not far off a bob - which I loathe. I'm annoyed that I wasted my time and money here, I was looking for a professional fix, not a cheap fix.”
