  “No idea what the food is like as it didn’t arrive. Ordered a delivery that was due to arrive at 9:10. Called at 9:30 as it hasn’t arrived and was told it would be there in 25 mins. Called again at 10:00 and was told it would be another 30 mins, so cancelled the order. Shocking customer service, definitely not using again. Genuinely didn’t seem bothered by our order or whether we cancelled or not.”

  “Just ate a the food that was delivered after an hour and a half. The food was disgusting. The meat seemed old and so did the ribs. This used to be a great take away, but not anymore. I don't know what's happened to Golden City. I will not return and would not recommend.”

  “Best Chinese takeaway in this area. Portions are very generous and food is very tasty! Highly recommend all dishes made Singapur style, crispy beef is perfect and all chow meins are delicious 😋 We've ordered several times and we'll keep coming to collect every week! Keep it up!”

  “Not as good as they used to be. The mixed starter used to be better, now it feels very lacking. Waiting area is cold with the door constantly blowing open. This used to be my go-to Chinese takeaway. I think I might have to find another”

  “It's a take out so there isn't really an atmosphere to talk about. The food was nice chicken curry with boiled rice it came with mushrooms and onions (onions could have been cut up a little more - but that was easily rectified) 👍”

  “Always a pleasure to deal with. Open to 'tweaking' a meal request and have been having 'Crispy Shredded Chicken with Black Bean Sauce, Bean shoots and Water Chestnuts' for a while now. Great Food.”

  “I used to order from this takeaway quite often with no problems. However that has since changed, possibly due to incompetence. My last order included a portion of peking ribs and after I started to eat them, I looked down to see long black hairs and dirt stuck to the saucy ribs. Some had clearly been dropped on the floor and then placed into the container! this is absolutely disgusting service with poor food hygiene and poorly trained staff. Having seen the previous comments, I can see I am not alone and it has happened to others. Shame you can’t see behind into the kitchen clearly as the standards must be low. I will never order from here again based on my last experience, leaving me feeling physically sick. After finding the ribs coated in human hair, I binned everything. I advise against using this Chinese restaurant unless you like your food hairy. Unacceptable!”
