“* Summer solstice 2026 5 years on, under different management. Different walk, same pub, still excellent beer: The best pint of Taylor's Boltmaker I have ever tasted. Ever. Anywhere. The Barman accepted the accolade and told me it was a new barrel, and that they pay great attention to the pipe cleaning and cellaring. “Came to Eldwick with my partner on a little getaway and the Acorn was the pub local to where we were staying. We came in on our first night there and we were chatting to the manager Anthony. He told us of a lovely walk to go on and we were planning to come back the next day to tell him we went and really enjoyed it, but didn’t make it back in time! Wanted to say a big thank you for your hospitality and help! Hopefully we can see you again soon and best of luck with the pub! Phoebe and Gary”
