Customer Review Summary
Burgers are the most frequent order, with reviewers praising the halloumi, lamb and bone marrow versions, and one diner calling theirs among the best of his life. Close behind is the chowder, including a seafood version with enormous chunks of salmon and a vegan one, followed by the peanut butter and chickpea fritter, the chicken Kiev and a cod dish described as luscious. A few reviewers call the 5-10-5 menu a smart, delicious way to order, and others single out Molly's Stout Bread, the gooey fried cheese, the gnocchi and a tart raspberry crumble. Service is repeatedly called friendly, and the courtyard and intimate interior draw praise. The complaints concern capacity and choice. Reviewers describe limited seating, and a couple suggest booking in advance after seeing people turned away because the restaurant was full by 6.30. One vegan diner found only one starter and one main, though both were delicious, and another reviewer says downstairs gets warm in summer. One reviewer notes almost every table ordered dessert, and another recalls the sticky toffee pudding with whiskey ice cream.

“Yummy vegan option Although there was only one starter and one main dish that was vegan, they were both so delicious! We had the vegan Aubergine dish and as a starter the vegan chowder. Absolutely delicious! They are also able to make the Dahl vegan. I wish they’d offered more vegan choices, given how tasty everything was! Friendly service as well!”

“Had a fantastic family meal in Molly’s Yard on 02/01/2026 - delicious breads, flatbreads and chowder starters and everyone thought their mains were stunning. I opted for the cod which was luscious and others went for the peanut butter fritter, halloumi burger, chicken Kiev and steak - everyone was happy! Lovely service and a cosy relaxed atmosphere too - would fully recommend.”

“This place is ab absolutely gorgeous hidden gem. Popped in as spotted it whike heading to the airport and only just made my flight as a result but so glad I did. Lovely, fresh local food, the service from the French gent that served me was exceptional and the setting was just gorgeous. Hidden down a tiny alley, I ate in the courtyard which is very cute and the restaurant inside is lovely and intimate. Wish I'd had time to try more off the seasonal menu but will definitely be back. Thank you so much for a lovely end to my trip.”
