About Cutters Wharf
Cutters Wharf is a modern European restaurant and bar on Lockview Rd in Belfast, set beside the River Lagan with the restaurant upstairs from the bar. The menu includes burgers and roast beef, and a set menu runs through a starter, a main course and a dessert. Sunday roast has been served in the upstairs area. A function room hosts weddings and birthday celebrations, so the venue also suits larger parties. Tables are walk-in.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the staff, calling them attentive, friendly and polite. Several describe a table found quickly on a busy night, one diner moved to a booth when it opened up, and managers who stayed reassuring as a wedding guest list grew. Food is called delicious and well portioned, and the riverside bar and its buzz come up repeatedly, with one reviewer advising a table be booked in advance. The complaints are specific and centre on slow, disorganised service. One party ordering a Sunday set menu was told the roast beef, lamb and salmon had run out, and a requested birthday candle never appeared. Another sat at a table without a heater, waited a long while for a rosé that arrived with an empty wine cooler, and reports finding a hair in a dish. A parent describes a dry, rock hard burger and a kids burger with no sauce, with no apology for the delays. The Sunday party was offered both meals off the bill, but had to ask when the bill still included them.

“So we went to celebrate a birthday and health recovery for dinner on a Sunday. We booked for 7:30 for a Sunday. We rang ahead to ask if they had roast beef available and were told yes. We rang at 5:30pm on the Sunday to confirm this and were told yes but that it was only available up stairs and we would need to be there at 6:30pm instead. So we did that as we were after a Sunday dinner. Upon arrival we ordered drinks and then ordered the set menu giving all our food options for starter main course and dessert. Around 10 minutes later the waitress came out to inform us that our starter wasn’t on the menu, the roast beef was all gone, the lamb was all gone and there was no salmon available either. My dad had asked the waitress just before dessert to put a candle in it for my birthday and she didn’t. Just awful service with not much available on the menu and the food was bog standard. The manager offered to take both meals off the bill and when we went to pay after our food they hadn’t been so we had to enquire. My dad again mentioned that they had forgotten to put the candle in the dessert and the waitress shrugged her shoulders and said “ah well”. First time there wouldn’t return don’t waste your money.”

“Had a lovely meal at Cutters last night with friends. We hadn't booked and it was quite busy. The staff were very attentive and sorted us out with a table very quickly, and also moved us to a booth when one became available. The food was delicious, the waiters/waitress very attentive and polite. Special shout out to Cuan. We had a lovely evening and can't wait to go back”

“Very attentive staff, nothing seemed like too much trouble. It was like i was being served by friends or family. The food was awesome, very tasty, and portion size was just enough”

“Great location. Service was totally evasive, waited over an hour for a dry, rock hard burger. Kids meal burger was just meat in a bun, no sauce, not even a lettuce leaf. Waited another hour for the kids meal ice-cream to be plucked from a fridge and delivered. No apologies for the waiting time, bad service, not subpar food. If you value a nice meal with your loved ones, don't go here”
