Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often return for the toasties and coffee, with the tuna melt sourdough toastie, the toasted chicken BLT and the toastie breakfast sandwich named as favourites, and a decaf flat white singled out for arriving properly hot. Close behind are the breakfast and lunch plates: freshly scrambled eggs on sourdough, French toast, an overnight oats cup and a ham and cheese croissant. Several describe the staff as friendly, and one says they cut a croissant in half and wrapped the halves separately so two people could share. The complaints are specific. One visitor found the welcome cold in an empty cafe, with no thank you or goodbye on leaving, though they still liked the toasty, bagel and coffee and would return. One felt there was too much balsamic on a sandwich, which overpowered the other flavours. Another found the lunch expensive and noted there was no customer toilet. Regulars like the free street parking right outside the door, and one enjoyed eating a takeaway order outside on the nearby parklets.

“Decent sandwiches, made fresh to order. Too much balsamic on my choice unfortunately which overpowered the other flavours. My partners sandwich was much nicer. Good spot for a lunch option.”

“Gorgeous wee restaurant! The coffees and toasties were absolutely delicious and the service was 10/10. Highly recommend a visit if you're looking for an easy breakfast or lunch.”

“Was looking forward to trying based on its high reviews and proximity to our hotel on a 2 night visit to Belfast. Food and coffee was really good as seen on all reviews but sadly the service let this wee coffee shop down, we arrived to an empty cafe and felt we were the ones making the effort to say hello, no great welcome. The coffee and food (toasty and bagel) arrived and were really good as expected. We enjoyed listening to the staff discussing rostering issues before we headed off to no Thank you or goodbye. A little disappointed but would return for the good coffee!”
