Customer Review Summary

The Ulster fry is the clear draw, with reviewers calling it great value, free of grease and the best they have had anywhere. One diner says the kitchen cooked bacon well done and cut the sausage in two as asked, and another praises the soda bread fried on both sides. Curry chips come up next, alongside omelette frys and curry stew. Reviewers repeatedly describe the staff as friendly and happy to have a banter, and one business describes using the cafe for catering for several years, from small lunches to larger events. Prices are called reasonable, with big portions and piping hot food. Several note it gets very busy, and one suggests arriving early for lunch. The one negative comes from a longtime customer who says a staff member came out from the back and aggressively confronted their partner over a sun drawn on a steamed-up window, which they had planned to wipe clean. That reviewer says they will not return. Others close on a simple habit: they come back for a fry and wouldn't go anywhere else.

“Called in for , what else, yip a fry. Asked for bacon well done, sausage cut in two and fried, everything as was asked, beautiful fry. Very busy, but a good thing, and didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive. Friendly staff. And yip back quite a lot of times, as it is really tasty, no frills, and they prepare the order whatever way you like, as well done bacon, mushrooms etc.., soda fried both sides. It's a must for breakfast, and not only on a Friday, but any day of the week.”
