Customer Review Summary

Riverside coffee by the Lagan is the consistent draw, with reviewers repeatedly praising the location beside the footbridge and weir and the covered outdoor seating that shields most weather. Hot chocolate and tray bakes come up often as favorites, and the bacon bap and toasted sandwiches also earn specific praise, alongside the dog treats and tennis balls that make it a stop for dog walkers. Coffee quality draws mixed reactions: several call it excellent, but others report weak coffee, and one reviewer describes a flat white with boiling hot milk that burnt their tongue and a table left uncleared with rubbish on it. Staff attitude splits reviewers too, with some praising courteous, friendly service while another found no one smiled, said good morning, or said thank you. One diner hoped the storage container blocking part of the river view might eventually be removed to open up the seating.

This is a really nice little spot beside the boat club with views over the river. Quite funky with good cover if the weather is inclement. Coffee, snacks, and treats excellent and well priced. The milkshake was only just ok. The only negative I had was the staff attitude to CUSTOMER SERVICE. Yes they asked what you wanted, made it, and set it up for you, but no one smiled, said good morning, or thank you. The visit here could be EVEN better with one, two, or all of the above.

Lovely spot, with a nice vibe and option of treats. HOWEVER, the table we went to had rubbish on it, not cleared….the coffee was burnt as the milk was boiling hot which I burnt my tongue on- (in a flat white with half the cup filled with fluffy milk (cappuccino type).

Always stop by here when taking our dog for a walk. She's especially fond of the dog treats and basket of tennis balls! They make really nice hot chocolate and have a good selection of tray bakes but …

How this listing is sourced

Where the data comes from
Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
How it stays current
Listings are re-checked in batches against their public profile, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
How it is ranked
Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
