  “This was a brilliant experience. The food was amazing and it arrived very quickly by none other than a robot cat which delivered the food from the kitchen!! Its very spacious and has a real great atmosphere! There is lots of parking and it was super easy to book a table. Also, the view of the lake from most of the tables was a real bonus.”

  “Service was friendly and food was edible for when we were hungry. However the prices were high for warmed up food. My husband said his burger tasted microwaved and was definitely not grilled. My pizza was oddly sweet tomato sauce (so the cheapest possible) and the base was premade and stale. We were hungry so we ate it all. On a positive note the chips were good!”

  “Everything about this place was lovely, great food and service and a lovely view as well. It is just so so expensive, with it being the only place within walking distance is does means if you’re there for more than 2 days it’s going to be an expensive stay. The drinks were also extremely expensive, apart from the price the place is really lovely.”

  “A nice discovery outside St Neots. Nice restaurant with good food. A bit overpriced burgers from your usual pub burger but it is sensibly priced based on the location and the type of restaurant. Sitting outside is definitely recommended, it has great views of the golf course and the lake, it's quite tranquil.”

  “Good food, reasonable atmosphere and quick access to multiple services, the Gravel Pit is a decent option for those staying at the Waterfront Hotel, or those close by. Prices are in line with other hotel restaurants so expect to pay a little more than your high street options.”

  “The Gravel Pit is great if you have no dietary requirements. For health reasons, we are vegan, gluten-free, and alium free, and it was extremely difficult for them to cater for us. We could only have the sweet potato salad, and we had fries on the side. It was tasty, but there is just not enough choice on the menu. I believe if they are able to accommodate for people with dietary needs, more people will come. The Gravel Pit is a lovely venue. The staff are great and the surroundings are beautiful. There is so much potential! We would love to return one day....”

  “Very nice place, great staff amazing food. Just very noisy - not sure if it's just really echoey or something but it's very loud in there and made me feel like I was deaf. But the food the staff the view is amazing! Worth the visit.”
