“We stopped here for lunch on Sunday with our large dog. They were very accommodating and Bertie was welcomed into the pub with us The food was excellent, my daughter said it was "the GOAT!". We had the vegetarian platters and the ploughman's and they were all absolutely delicious. Thank you!”

“Stumbled onto this place whilst looking for a place for lunch that was dog friendly and being turned away from other venues. We were welcomed straight away. The pub is immaculate and cosy. We had soup followed by the meat board and food was tasty and filling. Would recommend.”

“I recently stayed in the Margot room for two nights at this hotel. Unfortunately, the staff were rather unwelcoming and the impression given was that we were an inconvenience. The room smelt very musty, particularly the bedding and the tiny bathroom was very unpleasant. It smelt damp and had discoloured grouting. Although the provision of a small fridge was very welcome and a jug of water placed inside, the water tasted stale so I wonder how long it had been left in there. Cracked glass on the bedside table and only being able to turn lights on and off from the central switch by the door was irritating. On a positive note, the bed was very comfortable and the room a good size. The worst aspect is that the hotel did not have anyone on site overnight which was an unexpected shock and felt inappropriate given the fee charged.”
