Customer Review Summary
The vegetarian and vegan menu is what reviewers raise most, called massive and genuinely good, with one describing the fast service that came with it. Saturday steak night comes close behind, with steaks cooked to perfection, starters and live music, and in one account three courses with a bottle of Prosecco. Others name a chicken burger with bacon and cheese in peppered sauce, generous portions of fish, lasagne, tasty chips and an Ulster fry. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, helpful and efficient, and one reviewer notes the owner greeting everyone. One reviewer, however, describes a family breakfast booking that was not honoured. Staff reportedly said the reservation did not matter because walk-ins could not be controlled. A later phone call allegedly ended with the owner talking over them and citing CCTV to claim a bad attitude, which the reviewer denies. A couple who shared the combo platter had room only for one sticky toffee pudding between them.

“We visited here in July 2024, having booked a table well in advance for a family breakfast. We arrived 10 minutes early only to be told we had to wait another 25 minutes. When we explained we had a reservation, the staff member dismissed it, telling us it "didn't matter that we booked" because they couldn't control how many people walked in. This completely defeats the entire purpose of a booking system. When we tried to follow up about this, the service plummeted even further. The staff lied to the owner about what transpired. When we phoned to sort it out, the owner was incredibly unprofessional, refused to listen, and constantly talked over us. He even put the lying staff member on the phone to argue with my wife and continue their fabricated version of events. To top it off, the owner claimed he checked the CCTV cameras and noticed I had a "bad attitude" when leaving. This is an outright lie—I didn't speak to or interact with a single person on my way out. Looking at other reviews, this is clearly a recurring pattern. Whenever they make a mistake, they gaslight the customer, back up their staff's lies, and claim the customer had an attitude or "stormed out." Unprofessional management and zero customer relations. Avoid this place—your booking is not guaranteed. EDIT in response to the owner: The owner’s response is a complete work of fiction designed to save face. 1.The "Table was ready" lie: Your staff explicitly told us we had to wait because you "cannot control walk-ins." If our table was empty and ready, walk-ins would be completely irrelevant. The story has now been changed to "waiting for food" to cover up a double-booking issue. The "Kicked door" & "Abuse" fabrication: Accusing someone leaving a breakfast booking with their wife of "kicking the door open" and being "verbally abusive" is laughably dramatic. If I actually damaged your property and abused your staff, why were the police never contacted? And if you genuinely have the CCTV footage you claim to have, why did you not hand it over to the police to prove your case? You didn't involve the authorities because you know the camera footage would only prove you are lying and that we walked out completely normally. The Phone Call: We called to address why we were lied to. Instead of resolving it, you put the staff member on the phone to argue with my wife and spoke over us. The Passage of Time: You mentioned "even after two years"—well, it could be 10 years and I would still write this review. Time doesn't change the facts, and clearly, absolutely nothing has changed with your management style. You are still using the exact same defensive, gaslighting tactics on customers today as you did back then. The fact that you have fabricated a story about kicking doors and verbal abuse—just to avoid admitting your booking system failed—proves exactly how unprofessional this establishment is. Your response is a textbook example of the gaslighting other reviewers have warned about.”

“Went to the steak night on Saturday, definitely a 10/10. The steaks were cooked to perfection and we throughly enjoyed our starters. The whole atmosphere was great with the added bonus of live music. Staff were super at their job roles and the owner greeting everyone made the whole experience. Fantastic food, highly recommend. 3 courses, a bottle of Prosecco and live music!”

“Went to their steak night last Saturday and it was one of the nicest steaks I’ve ever had and for such a good price too! The live music was such a lovely addition to the night and the staff were lovely as always. We frequently go for breakfast too and I can confidently say they are the best place in this area for affordable breakfasts. The staff are always so helpful and lovely to chat to”
