  “This place is a MUST GO! The chef here clearly knows what they’re at. We visited twice, months apart, and I still think about the food regularly. Every course was exceptional. The Sunday roast lamb was quite simply the best I’ve ever tasted - impossibly tender, beautifully seasoned and served with a gravy that elevated it even further (must mention). The beef was equally outstanding. The seafood chowder was packed with incredibly fresh fish in a rich, perfectly balanced sauce, and the pork belly starter was flawless and had very interesting accompaniments. A special mention has to go to the onion rings - genuinely the best I’ve ever had. Enormous, unbelievably crisp and perfectly cooked. Then the desserts… homemade sticky toffee pudding with dulce de leche, and one of the freshest, most delicious tiramisus. It’s almost unheard of for a restaurant to deliver incredible starters, mains and desserts, but this place does! Special mention for the Guinness 10/10. If you’re anywhere near Glenariff, this place is absolutely unmissable.”

  “Lovely place, atmosphere, so wonderfully situated. Lamb shank was excellent after long day of walking. As it happened, Michael went out of his way to be so, so kind and helpful to us when he didn't have to, so that we could get back to our hotel. Our highest thanks and recommendations!”

  “The food was delicious (got the lamb shank and it literally fell off the bone) and arrived really fast. The highlight of the visit however was definitely the kindness we experienced from the manager, Michael. We found ourselves stranded after the taxi we were expecting to take us back to our hotel in Ballymena flaked on us. Michael checked in on us to see how our taxi hunt was going and after we explained our predicament, he went above and beyond to make sure we got back safely! Absolutely lovely man, wish him and his family all the best”

  “OMG, we had planned a quick lunch stop and it turned out to be a trip highlight! Lovely people and really fantastc food - all choices (5 fussy eaters) were so well executed with great views from the corner table. We also walked the amazing red route from the car park after lunch - maybe an hour and a half circular walk (?) not to be missed.”

  “Very disappointing visit. Very slow service - 3/4 hour and it wasn’t busy. Steak and chips. Only accompaniment was half a tomato and a shrivelled mushroom. So little pepper sauce and asked for more. Didn’t realise until we left, that it cost £4.10 for some extra sauce. Frozen chips…. The other main was the chicken breast - it was fine. The carrots were the best thing that we had. Prices not in line with food received. We are fairly regular diners and like giving local restaurants the business but not sure we will be returning anytime soon. We had hoped with the new owners that it would be the same or better - maybe just need settling in time.”
