About Alim-Et Larkfield
Alim-Et Larkfield is a Turkish restaurant at 753-757 London Rd in Aylesford, run as a grill house with seafood grills alongside the meat ones. The grill menu includes lamb adana and lamb kofte, and bulgur wheat and salad come as accompaniments. Starters are served platter-style, with bread or nan arriving alongside and taramasalata among the choices. Portions are large across both starters and mains. The kitchen cooks with halal meat and also lists vegan options. A large car park on site has room for big vehicles, so larger vans and coaches can park without searching the surrounding streets.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the lamb dishes, with the lamb adana described as juicy and the lamb kofte and lamb kebab as delicious. Close behind are the grills and starters, including well-spiced seafood and meat grills, hot bread, taramasalata, falafel and hummus, plus bulgur wheat and salad that one reviewer found better than the usual accompaniments. Several mention friendly, welcoming staff and generous platters, though one felt the chicken shish portion could have been bigger. The complaints are specific and recurring. Takeaway and delivery reviewers describe a mixed kebab with undercooked meat, a kofte cooked on one side only, and meat that looked dark and reheated, and one raises food poisoning concerns in connection with that. Another finds the lamb shish slimy and pasty from over-tenderising. Two report wrong orders, one with staff who did not seem to follow what was asked. One diner objected to a 10% service charge added to the bill and to extra charges for soda water. A returning customer notes they were still enjoying the food and staff on a recent visit.

“I ordered 2 doner kebabs and 1 mixed‑meat kebab, but the restaurant sent the wrong items. The staff didn’t seem to understand my order, and I ended up with food I didn’t want. Very disappointing experience. I hope they improve their communication and accuracy.”

“I have been coming to this restaurant and getting takeaways since it opened years ago and disappointed to say that the quality of the takeaways has dropped significantly in the past year. Last night we had the mixed kebab that costs £32 and all the meat except the doner was very undercooked. The kofte looked cooked on one side and not on the other which is unacceptable anywhere especially given the price. Processed meat must always be thoughly cooked to avoid risk of food poisoning, this is 101 of cooking and if the chefs cannot even grill meat properly then I will not be returning. You have lost a loyal customer, please learn from this if you want to retain your other loyal customers.”

“When lamb shish meat is being tenderised for too long. When the meat fibres break down, the meat becomes ‘slimy and pasty’ - which unfortunately is what I find with the lamb shish meat from Alim-Et Larkfield. The food is tasty, but being let down by over tenderising.”

“Delicious food but be warned. They will add a 10% service charge to your bill. Legally this should be discretionary and they can not force you to pay it but it takes the shine off a lovely meal. Id happily tip for good service but do not wish to be forced into it especially when one of our orders was wrong. They also charge extra for soda water which makes some soft drinks .are expensive than alcohol.”
