Customer Review Summary

Reviewers are split, but most describe food that was too salty or bland, with saltiness the most repeated complaint. Fried rice is called unbearably salty in one account and not tasting like fried rice in another, and salt and pepper chicken, gravy and sweet and sour chicken are also described as tasting mostly of salt. Others report soggy lemon chicken, salt and pepper ribs with hardly any meat, and a pink-red sweet and sour sauce with a bitter aftertaste. One reviewer says they were given leftovers instead of freshly cooked food, and one reports a dirty premises that smelled of fish, with inedible prawn toast. Several call the prices high.

“We were recommended this Chinese take away whilst we on a long weekend in Aviemore. We made an ordered for a delivery service. We ordered Wonton soup, Chicken and sweetcorn soup for starters And 3 mains 2 chicken fried rice and a chicken chowmein. The delivery arrived in just over an hour not bad at all and the delivery guy was friendly. The soups were really tasty full of flavor and we had high hopes for the main courses. However we were left disappointed. The chicken fried rice were unbearably salty, it seemed to be flooded in soy sauce and left the tongue actually feeling sore with salt burns after a few mouthfuls. We couldn't eat it, it didnt taste of traditional tasty chinese food. The chicken chow mein wasnt as salty but pretty bland and average in taste. I wouldn't rush back and didnt feel like our meal was good tasty value for the £50 it cost us.”

“Just ordered £72.10 for the family and had to bin most of it as it was inedible. Salt and pepper ribs with no meat and the meat that was there brick hard, soggy chips, gravy that was so salty it required me to drink a pint of water. No thanks lid replaced. Lemon chicken that tasted like washing up liquid and spongy chicken. Very odd. Cubed chicken on skewers always concerns me and looks like frozen chicken, didn’t taste too bad. Fried rice decent, and the star of the show crispy noodles with beef. We were all fighting over that one. Please avoid and don’t waste your money.”

“We bought a portion of rice, noodles, ribs, prawn crackers and spring rolls. Came to £45 and probably the blandest food I've eaten since british food, which is an achievement believe me. And I am a bland white british person with no tastebuds who eats unseasoned tofu out of choice. It's tragic and I wouldn't even feed it to my dog, would pay £45 to undo eating it but the guy who served us was an absolute legend so thank you anyway keep it up with the service :)”

“Friendly person on the phone taking the order but the food could’ve been better. The sweet and sour chicken was very artificial - a pink red sauce that tasted of nothing and left a bitter aftertaste. Of all dishes ordered they didn’t really taste of anything but salt, the chicken and sweetcorn soup was the only decent dish. Very expensive for not great food and the price has gone up so much in the past years”

“It was one of the worst Chinese food I have ever had and I rarely complain about food. We asked for ‘Shredded beef with Chillies Sauce’. I think the picture says it all. The food quality was really bad. The meat looks like anything but ‘Shredded beef’. It was over fried and it tasted disgusting. They gave us leftovers from the restaurant instead of newly cooked food. Definitely WOULD NOT RECOMMEND”
