Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for the Sunday roast share platter, praising tender chicken, beef and pork alongside gravy, roast potatoes, carrots, cauliflower cheese and stuffing. One calls the chicken the best they have eaten, while others found the pork fatty and missing individual crackling, and one was disappointed to get only one Yorkshire pudding per person. Close behind is the service, described as friendly with nothing too much trouble. One server checked for a gluten and dairy free dessert, which led to a crumble a diner ranked among the best in a long time. Mackerel, haddock and chunky chips also draw praise, as does the range of 0% beers. Recurring complaints include expensive drinks, a 10% service charge added to the bill, and limited parking, with one table leaving cars on the nearby road. Dog owners mention a field behind the beer garden, and several motorhome visitors say staff coned off a space so they could park easily and stay overnight.

“This is a great find. Only 10 miles from the Channel tunnel and takes 3 motorhomes so perfectly placed. In addition it's REALLY dog friendly with a huge field at the back beyond the beer garden for the dogs to play in. The food was really lovely as were the bar staff. I'll DEFINITELY be coming back on my next visit to the uk. Once again, many thanks for letting us stay overnight. 😘😘”
