“Under new owners. Lovely atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful. Something on the menu for everyone. Not cheap but not overly expensive. Would definitely recommend but also will be revisiting. Have a picky eater and even he found it enjoyable.”

“Popped in for Sunday lunch last week and have to say the Sunday Roast was exceptional. The place has had a makeover since we were last there, gone is the dark, slightly depressing atmosphere, and in with a new, light and airy feel. The staff were lovely and attentive, and it was really good value for money. We will go back again, and I am happy to recommend it for a hearty Sunday roast 👌”

“We had a fantastic visit to the Blacksmiths - we arrived weary and hungry after spending a good few long days with a relative who was in the nearby hospital. We were slightly outside the food ordering time, however the kind gentleman (who I think may have been the landlord) and very friendly barmaid said they would let us order food regardless. We really appreciated them making this exception for us as we really needed it, and the warm and friendly reception made us feel very relaxed and welcome in the pub. We left the pub with big smiles and in a considerably better mood than when we arrived. The Blacksmiths adheres to everything I feel a pub should be, and it is clear the owner takes great pride in his establishment and is genuinely grateful to have people's custom. We will definitely be visiting again.”
