About Wyke Down Country Pub & Restaurant
Wyke Down Country Pub & Restaurant sits on Walworth Road in Andover, combining a pub and restaurant under one roof with on-site parking for visitors. The Sunday carvery runs by reservation, served at a carvery station or brought to the table, and features roast potatoes alongside a selection of freshly cooked vegetables including creamy leeks. The wider menu covers pub staples such as a southern fried chicken burger with chips, ploughman's, and a children's menu for younger visitors. The kitchen also turns out other familiar plates for general service through the week. Dogs are welcome, and the spacious garden gives guests a tidy outdoor space, handy in warmer months. Inside, the pub-restaurant layout supports both casual drinks and sit-down meals across the same floor.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most often for the carvery, with the Sunday roast drawing particular praise for its cooked-to-order meat and fresh vegetables. The southern fried chicken burger and ploughman's also get specific callouts. Staff friendliness runs through nearly every review, and several mention a tidy garden. One diner, however, describes a long children's meal wait and lukewarm vegetables after spending over £100, calling it poor value.

“Went here for a Sunday dinner. (Table was booked for 1200...reservation required on a sunday) Myself and my wife had the carvery (very good value) and my daughter opted for the southern fried chicken burger. Food was absolutely fantastic! Meat was cooked perfectly and the selection of veg was delicious. (Definitely recommend the creamy leeks) The Chicken Burger came out huge and served with a basket of chips....so good and filling the daughter couldn't finish it Just as an add on....the staff were very attentive and helpful. We will without a doubt be returning in the near future”

“Had to wait 25 minutes for two children's meals then we went to the carvery 5 of us roast potatoes were just warm ask if there was any carrots was told no as carvery was about to close not impressed over 100 pounds spent waste of money”

“Here for a family meal on Sunday lunchtime. Drinks & meal orders were taken quite quickly. Care was taken to advise us on a suitable meal for one granddaughter with a nut allergy, the rest of us had the carvery meal. The meat was very good but the remainder was average but plenty of choice. Staff were excellent. .”

“We needed a venue for a wake for a family member's funeral and found this lovely pub. We were immediately struck with the helpfulness and friendly way we were treated. The actual wake was amazing as the staff really pulled out all the stops to accommodate all our needs and keep the event private with a very friendly atmosphere. I would heartily recommend this venue for any event! Thank you staff of Wyke Down pub especially Rebecca!”
