“Had the pleasure of going to this cafe for over 7 years. The place kills you with kindness. Jacob and his mum and all the staff are just lovely. Micheal was great always walking around with the quiche. Will miss this place. After spending 24 years in the lakes this is the most friendly of places. Big loss to the community I Will miss it. Wishing them all the luck in what ever they do.”

“I took my son on a long overdue mountain bike ride and managed to arrange for Ambleside to be out half way point. The weather was grim to say the least so a cycling friendly cafe was a necessary stop off (read caked in mud and soaked to the skin). So glad we stopped at this little gem of a cafe for our energy top up. A fantastic little set up with bike racks and outdoor seating. They serve great food and beverages and the selection was admirable for such a small premises. Great hot chocolate and breakfast buns. I'm a real coffee snob and have to say their flat white was fantastic. Definitely on my revisit list. Well done Update: for some reason this wasn't posted by Google. If the cafe is there then make it a stop off. It's worth it”

“Wow What a banging little cafe! Made even more special for us as we used to walk past it every day when it was something else 30 years ago. Selling baked items that appear made on site, all simple and all awesome. This is what we need more of in the UK. Privately owned, simple cooking, back to basics and done very well. Please go here rather than a big chain. Plus, I had the best black coffee here made by a very young looking chap who clearly knew his stuff, and I am very fussy about coffee. Will absolutely come back here every time I come to Ambleside and would advise anyone else in the area to follow suit. 535th review. 15m+ views.”

“Fantastic Quiches, we like to offer constructive critiques, the crockery could be cleaner the cup and teapot we where served with was dirty, otherwise everything else was great”
