  “We had a wonderful dinner here and every dish we ordered was excellent. We started with the Sausage and Peppers appetizer. The sausage was juicy and flavorful, paired with perfectly cooked sweet peppers and a delicious house-made sauce that brought everything together. The Fresh Herb Fettuccine Alfredo was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The fresh herbs added a wonderful aroma and made the dish feel fresh despite its rich, silky sauce. The Burrata Lasagna was another standout. The burrata made the lasagna incredibly creamy, while the layers of pasta, meat, and cheese were perfectly balanced. Every bite was comforting and satisfying. The Sliced Pepper Steak Grigliata was cooked perfectly. The steak was tender, juicy, and flavorful, and the grilled peppers were the perfect accompaniment. The service was warm, attentive, and professional throughout the evening. The restaurant also has a beautiful atmosphere that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. A fantastic place for a memorable Italian meal.”

  “My first visit to Il Porcellino and everything was outstanding. The garlic bread with clarified butter is a must-order, and the pesto sauce is so good that you should get a side and put it on everything. Every dish was flavorful, well-executed, and clearly made with care. The highlight of the evening was our server, Beatrice B. She was phenomenal—a true class act. Knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely friendly, she made us feel special from start to finish. Her enthusiasm for the menu was contagious and had us wanting to order everything. Exceptional food paired with exceptional service. Can’t wait to come back.”

  “We ended up at Porcellino’s after missing our reservation at another restaurant, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the best surprises of our trip! The lasagna was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had; rich, comforting, and absolutely unforgettable. And whatever you do, order the whole loaf of garlic bread. Trust me, it’s a must. Everything we had was delicious, the cocktails were perfectly made, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was fantastic. Sometimes the best meals happen by accident, and this was definitely one of them. We’d absolutely recommend it and can’t wait to come back!”

  “Great vibe, busy place. Service was excellent. Deserts were excellent. We all thought the food while good, wasn’t great. That said it was quite inexpensive. Gnochi Bolognese was only $21 for example. Still would be happy to go back.”

  “Visiting from out of town, I spent a lot of time researching Italian restaurants in River North, and I’m so glad we chose this one. We started with the garlic bread, avocado salad, and stuffed mushrooms—hands down some of the best stuffed mushrooms and salad we’ve ever had. I ordered the steak, and honestly, you would have thought we were at a top-notch steakhouse. It was incredibly juicy, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. The old-school Italian atmosphere, great music, and lively energy made the experience even better. Whether you’re looking for a family dinner or a date night spot, I highly recommend making a reservation. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Chicago!”

  “Ordered through Door Dash for hotel delivery. I ordered the chicken piccata and Tuscan cheese bread. Order arrived nice and warm. The bread was tasty with plenty of cheese. It comes with fresh marinara sauce. It was a huge portion for just one person. Chicken piccata also very tasty. Chicken cooked perfectly with a nice crust and juice chicken inside. Pasta was perfect Al dente. Sauce had a nice smooth texture with just a slight hint of lemon. It was not overpowering. Capers give you that nice salty briny pop. Good size portion. Extra sauce made for some good bread dipping. I would order from here again for sure. It was so good I will make sure to dine in next time I’m in Chicago.”
