About The Coffee Builders

The Coffee Builders is a coffee shop in Phoenix, located at 901 S 7th St Bldg C. Much of its character comes from a menu that pairs a focused coffee program with a small selection of food, giving it a distinct identity beyond a standard cafe. The space supports both laptop work and casual seating, making it a practical stop for a midday break. A community board near the entrance highlights local events and gatherings.

Customer Review Summary

The Coffee Builders draws reviewers in with its immersive themed experiences, most prominently a Wizarding World theme that transformed the decor, menu, and drinks, with the Sorting Hat drink and Herbologist among the featured items. The chocolate pistachio latte comes up repeatedly as a standout, alongside the orange blossom latte, which one reviewer described as tasting like a creamsicle, and the waffle with bourbon syrup, called legendary. The avocado toast on sourdough is frequently praised for being fresh and generous, and the prime rib sliders and fruit cup also earn positive mentions. Reviewers consistently highlight the friendly, patient service, with staff eager to offer recommendations and samples. The atmosphere, from the cozy wood ceilings and iron fencing to the patio seating and natural wood decor, adds to the appeal, and the shop is dog friendly outside. A few reviewers note minor drawbacks, including road noise on the patio and a dark chocolate chai that tasted more like milk chocolate, with one suggesting asking for an extra shot of chai.

Perhaps the best coffee in town. Teena made my drink and recommended topping it with vanilla bourbon cold foam. The coffee tasted rich, without being bitter. It was sublime, and as beautiful as it was delicious! I also ordered their avocado toast on sourdough. So fresh tasting and generous on the avocado! Fantastic coffee, and loved the retro atmosphere!! I’ll definitely be back!!!

We found our favorite coffee shop! Thanks, Yelp, for another awesome Elite Week event at "Coffee Builders." It's in a 1960s building with cool art outside and a super cozy, study-like vibe inside. They also have unique food, like Smørrebrød, which are Danish open-faced sandwiches. Everyone was so friendly! Our barista, Pepper, was really nice and patient while we checked out their amazing coffee choices. My wife loves coffee, so she got a "Chocolate Pistachio Latte," and I picked something from their Galactic menu, the "Krayt Dragonfruit." It had muddled dragonfruit, lemonade, peach, anise rose tea, and bee pollen. So good, and both drinks looked incredible! We also tried the prime rib sliders; the meat was tender and juicy and totally hit the spot. Shanda loved it, so we'll definitely be back. Thanks again, Francheska, for inviting us, and please support them and all our local businesses!

This place is A VIBE!! Came in about 9am on a Wednesday. Plenty of seating, plugs everywhere and really easy to access. I got a chocolate pistachio iced coffee and it’s GORGEOUS AND DELICIOUS. Probably the first $8 coffee I’ve had worth the $8. Highly recommend. I loved working here for the day.

Highly recommend this coffee shop if you're in the area or visiting! This was our first sit down stop of our trip and our entire group loved it. They have themed drinks, which was fun and unique. We has the Princess Bride theme. …

First time in, immediately the vibes were immaculate. Once you walk in the ambiance is unmatched. I’m a serial drive thru coffee drinker & today I had time to come in and sit down I was going to check out another coffee spot down the road from here but based on the reviews of this place compared to the other place, I came here instead. The menu is extensive, full of greatness, the service from the guys at the register was really friendly and they were very patient while I made up my mind. I tried a strawberry chocolate pastry today and the strawberry fields iced coffee, the pastry and coffee was 10/10. I’ll definitely be back. Side note: they have a seat near the register with a wireless charging pad thingy. Super cool.
