“Tremendous bar in the heart of York. Order a pint and a half Tegernsee Helles for £11.49 circa 500 THB. It was superb,kept in perfect condition. We were sat in the prime seats at the bar, and chatted with the really friendly, knowledgeable owner (Vahe) himself! Large range of imported Belgian and German draft beers on tap, with Tim Taylor Boltmaker the sole cask when we visited. There's also an extensive bottled beer choice too. They are only open on Friday and Saturday. Even with all the great pubs York has to offer this place is worth a detour if you enjoy continental beers.”

“Whilst the beer was good and is perhaps the only good thing I can comment on, the prices are extortionate. Moreover, the man behind the bar seems to single people out. For example, telling select people off for swearing, despite the fact that many others were doing the same and louder, but he turned a blind eye to these instances.”
