About The Bluefin
On Tadcaster Road in Dringhouses, The Bluefin is a fish and chips takeaway serving the classic chippy staples, from battered fish and chips with mushy eggs alongside, to halloumi sticks for a different note. Orders are placed online for collection, and the counter handles walk-ins. Seating is on site, and the space fills up at busy times with phones ringing and the room packed. The kitchen keeps the menu focused on familiar fried favourites, with mushy peas served as a standard accompaniment to the fish.

“Tried for the first time and have to say the food quality was excellent. Service was great too - you always expect to wait when you order fish, but the wait here was still fairly quick. They seem to have good processes in place. Staff were very friendly too. Will be back!”

“Increasingly expensive and the quality is dropping. Service can be stroppy to add to the misery. Definitely not the chippy it was a couple of years ago.”

“I can honestly say I dont go anywhere else for my chippy teas then this place. Not only top class food but the staff are amazing who always have a smile even if the place is busy and I have seen this place packed to the rafters and phones constantly ringing they never stop. A special mention to the manager, again she is brilliant and treats customers as if they are friends and can tell what a great team they all.”

“I totally messed up my order online but the staff were amazing upon arrival to pick it up. Great service as always, staff so friendly. Doesnt matter how busy they are the service never slips! Great food as always!”

“Let me be clear. The actual fish & chips were amazing! Plentiful, great value, and tasty. However, having worked in a fish & chip shop for many years, circa 2000, the peas are discussing. Who steeps the peas? You can’t just steep the peas & add nothing! They were quite frankly the worst tasting mushy peas I have EVER had. Please Blue Fin, to match the quality of your fish & chips, sort your peas out. You need to add bicarbonate of soda, sugar, & salt. And then taste! So disappointed in this, I expected so much more!”
